I had one drum paddle on my washing machine break off. They actually ordered 3 new ones and a new drum belt. Needed to have the entire machine completely dismantled just to replaced the parts. The work was completed much quicker than I had expected. The gentlemen left the area clean and were very respectful.

The only reason I am giving them three stars is because the second guy that came to our house worked until 7 p.m on a Saturday night. First of all, every time you talk to Sears on the phone, they try to sell you stuff. Secondly, the first guy who came out to look at our dishwasher just looked at his phone for possible things wrong. He never took anything apart. He said it was the computer board. We waited 2 weeks for the part. The second guy said it wasn't the computer board, but probably the motor. We had to tell him to make sure because we weren't going to keep guessing and buying parts. He made sure and ordered the motor. Two more weeks later, another guy came and installed the motor. It is fixed, finally. I tried calling to complain, but there is literally no one you can talk to, so I am letting everyone know what happened to us.

I needed to have an element control switch replaced in a Kenmore range. Sears offered to make a home visit for a 'diagnostic' fee of $129 when I already told them that only the switch needs to be replaced. When the technician came, he gave an estimate of $354 to change the switch and he said it would take him a few minutes. I did not proceed with it. Very disappointed that Sears would not give an up-front estimate for the switch replacement. Have they never done it before, having ben in business for more than a century? The technician didn't do any diagnosis either, straightaway started looking for the part number to replace, but charged $129. What a swindle!

The repairman was courteous and on time. However, when he left, he left the old condenser on my kitchen floor. When I picked it up and ran it out to him, saying I did not want to have to deal with it, he told me it was recyclable. The recycle bin happened to be on the street for pickup, so he lifted the lid for me, and I dropped it in. I am 75, it was VERY heavy, and I had to hold it close to carry it. It wasn't until I returned inside that I noticed the condenser had leaked some kind of oily substance on the floor. Turns out it leaked on my clothes as well. I ran them through the wash, but the oil would not come out. It was a brand new pair of Levis that I was wearing for the first time that day. I believe the service man should have warned me, and I think he should have offered to carry it out to my recycle bin for me. Someone owes me $91. When I posted this on the Sears Appliance website, they cut out everything but the first line and totally ignored my issue.
