I adopted a wonderful dog that we all love so much. Christine and the rest of the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and positive. I couldn't have ever expected a better adoption experience. I am very thankful for Amador County Animal Control and Adoption services. Great people helping animals and people!

They seem to take their operating hours with a grain of salt. Closed during hours they claim to be open and can't do licensing online so you have to come in person. An hour of driving and building closed because someone wanted a Friday afternoon off?!? Unprofessional and not serving the public.

I was so happy to get 4 homeless budgies, 2/boys 2/girls. The birds we’re about 3 or 4 months old and we just love them! The staff at the shelter are absolutely wonderful!

Very knowledgeable of the dogs they have. Very friendly and always try to make sure an adopted pet goes to a good home. My dog has gotten out and they helped me get some of the money back from providing records of shots.

I was called because my dog barked at someone from 20-30 ft away and while I had him ( Eric) on the phone I told him about a very skinny 9 month old dog that doesn’t look like his health is doing very good. His response was shocking. He refused to go and do a check instead telling me that if the dog gets out then call for pick up. Getting out isn’t my concern but the puppy’s health. Then he said that doesn’t matter and that he’s not going to come out, it’s not going to happen. If you don’t care about animals what are you doing there. He attitude towards animal health was shocking to say the least. If this post gets deleted I’ll post it to the Humane society in which I’ve received an award for my kindness to animals.... I’m just really sickened by the response he gave.
Animal control finds pets and stays alike on a daily basis. I would advise you to report your missing pet to them; they might have it.
They have a great variety of ages! The staff is amazing, caring and friendly!
I don't think so. I'd call to find out. I can't seem to find anything on Google.
