It depends. Because the finish must be applied and dried on-site, site-finished floors will take longer to install than factory-finished floors. Whether job-site finished or factory-finished, the product must be delivered to the job site and allowed to acclimate before installation can begin. Depending on the material used, this could take several days. This is a critical step in the installation process because the wood must achieve equilibrium moisture content (EMC) with the job site conditions to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality installation.
