The first two months were just fine, after that we had a notice almost every week on our door. Renovations started which included tearing down stairs and not putting any back up for more than a month. Parking was taken up by the workers who have no respect for your space or no parking zones that block you into your space. The work being done was found to not have permits and it was stopped for weeks (turns out leaving us without stairs is somewhat of a fire hazard, you know right in the middle of fire season). While there I know someone was stabbed because the police were there and I found the blood trail through a quarter of the complex, the only explanation I received was that it was an altercation between neighbors and an isolated incident. Well if they are neighbors then they live there and I feel like your lack of screening puts me in a less safe environment. The washers almost never all work at the same time, usually one maybe two at a time. They cut down all the trees then milled them in the parking lot taking up the spots we all paid for then setting up a work area that took up four peoples spaces, at one point the fence they had (which was not secured or setup properly) fell completely over into my parking space. Had I been less fortunate my car could have been severely damaged, this was after they had moved the fence into my spot taking it away from me ( I complained and got my spot back). The main response I would get is an apology for the inconvenience and little to no action. They kicked out everyone to do renovations and jack up the rent, when I moved out I was supposed to get my full deposit as all they required was vacuuming, which was in the paperwork that they posted. My deposit has already taken more than 30 days (21 days is the law from move out in CA) and they expect me to wait until it's been 42 days (double the legal requirement). Do not stay here, the apartments could be worse but the way things are managed is absolutely ridiculous and boarders abuse in my opinion.
