On a work trip, a coworker and I stopped by Ruby Tuesday’s for what we thought would be a nice and quick dinner. We were in for a surprise. Upon entering a fairly empty restaurant we asked to be seated at a table with chairs rather than a booth. We were seated on one side of the restaurant literally by ourselves. Maybe their weren’t tables on the other side. This wouldn’t have been an issue if we weren’t greeted by any wait staff. After about 15 mins we eventually asked the host to find our server. After going to look he came back and graciously took our drink order. About 5 minutes later our drinks were brought out by our actual waitress who was otherwise very pleasant. Food took a long time to come out and we overheard the host state that there was a 40 min wait to eat. The restaurant couldn’t have been more than 15% -20% full so this was odd to hear. My best guess is there was a shortage of cooks. While waiting I used a fairly nasty looking bathroom with toilet that didn’t flush. The food itself was rather typical of this type of restaurant. The mozzarella sticks were initially delivered without marinara sauce, and my Parmesan shrimp pasta was comically served before the breadsticks was ready. My coworker was unable to order the rib combo he wanted because they had run out. Unfortunate experience.

This visit was average for us the food quality could have been more better I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak which was disappointing very little cheese on steak um like sandwich the only thing that saved our dinner was the salad bar as the bar 🍸 drinks was not legendary as advertised .

While the food was very good, the service was poor. There was only 2 servers for the entire restaurant, which we did not find out until we were waiting 30+ minutes for appetizers and inquired was what taking so long. On top of that, we ordered multiple of a couple dishes and the portion sizes varied from plate to plate for the exact same meal! The server disappeared on several occasions and was nowhere to be found. We even had to go to the bar to get refills on water. Ultimately, the only reason I gave 3 stars and not lower is because the taste of the food and understanding that many establishments are short staffed. However, communication goes a long way!
