Closest thing I could find to a Japanese public bath. They have pretty much everything you need, so just bring a set of clean clothes. Staff is really friendly and will help you if you have any questions.

Excellent experience! I booked the 80 MIN. Shiatsu massage with Sean and stayed to take advantage of the baths. My massage was therapeutic, professional and successful at reducing soreness in areas of concern and I highly recommend staying to enjoy all the baths have to offer. I live out of state and can guarantee a return visit!

Ahhhhhhhh what a relaxing experience. I feel so lucky that we have places like kabuki in the Bay, and grateful they survived the pandemic ok. I’m sure it was hard and probably still is. Thank you kabuki staff 🙏🏼 There’s a steam room, dry sauna, hot pool, cold plunge, & showers. The lighting is dim with candles scattered around. Self service cold water with lemon, ice, hot water, and little dishes of salt to use for scrubbing yourself. Complimentary toiletries including fragrance free lotion. They provide a locker, towels and shower shoes. If you’re used to Korean spa or Banya, kabuki might seem small, but it’s also less utilitarian and more meditative with the low lighting and hushed voices. As of March 2022 they’re taking reservations for 2.5 hours for the communal baths which is plenty of time. It’s wild to me to see entitled people leaving reviews complaining about kabuki. $45 for 2.5 hours here is a great deal. I feel like a happy limp noodle after spending a Sunday afternoon here.

I got the Abhyanga treatment - a gentle oil massage followed by a bath with apple slices, tea, and water. Simply heavenly. I loved the bath in particular with little tea lights. I only wish I had known how long it would truly be - it was 90 minutes but I thought that was door to door so I had to get out a little early to leave at the end of 90 minutes, but that’s on me. Lovely staff, everything clean and professional. Just note the entrance was a bit difficult to find - it’s further west than google maps indicates, so leave extra time!

Hello, Kabuki Springs is open for massage only with social distancing protocols in place. Our communal bathing facility is closed temporarily. Thank you, Kathy Nelsen
Hi Mauro. Thanks Angela. Yes, you are correct, anyone can receive services any day. The male days for the communal baths are Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
I can't imagine they wouldn't be.. they have been in business for a long time in Japan town. SF is very tattoo friendly
Yes Wednesday, Fridays n Sundays are Womens days 10a to 10p..
For the communal baths, yes, it is. The spa treatments are available for everyone everyday. Thanks for asking.
Yes, it is customary to leave a tip after body work services.
Absolutely. Anyone can go there. If she wants to use the facilities on the day of her treatment she will want to book on an all female day or coed day to get the full experience.
Hm probably not. I have never seen kids here. I think it's just adults
It is cedar. Thanks for asking, Richard.
Hello Tea. At this time, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are communal bath days for women. Thursday and Saturday are men only. We are currently closed Tuesday, which has been the all gender day. We are offering "pod Tuesdays" where you and your friends can use the baths together with no one else in the space, it is for 8-12 people. If you are male, then, sorry, right now, there is not that you and wife option. We hope by fall to be back to 7 days a week. Peace, Kathy Nelsen
Hello Dale (and, thank you again, Thomas). The baths are open by appointment for 2 1/2 hour times. Capacity is 12 ppl at a time. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday for women and Thursday and Saturday for men. We are currently closed Monday and Tuesday. Www.kabukisprings.com

Hello, Evster. At this time, Kabuki Springs is offering therapeutic massage to all genders. It is not exclusively for women. I hope you come and try one of our fantastic massage therapists. Be well. Peace, Kathy
Hello, you can definitely request more attention be paid to your legs, and I recommend you have a full body massage, as it all connects. Thank you. It would be best if you asked the therapist prior to the massage.
Alanna, We do not have the kind of bathtubs that I think you are referring to. We have small deep Japanese style furo tubs that we use in conjunction with massage and body treatments. Thank you. Kathy
Unfortunately, Sundays are for women only... days for men are Mon, Thur., and Sat.
The temperature today is at 104 degrees, as it generally is. Sometimes there are technical issues, as to where the temperature drops. Sorry you had to encounter this in the past. However, all is fine today. The Spa will be closing at 6pm, today on New Year's Eve. The entry fee is $30.00. Enjoy your visit should you decide to come. Happy New Year!
