Two Men and a Truck

When moving out of my apartment today they said that they'd be back up for the last load and never returned. After waiting 30-40 minutes I went downstairs to see how things were going and the truck was gone. All the apartment doors were still open and they had left my $200 dolly on the sidewalk. I called to find out where they went and they said they were getting gas. I asked about the remaining stuff and the mattress that I paid to be junked and they told me there was no more room. They never told me that they were low on space. I asked about my personal property they left on the sidewalk and they said oops. I asked when they were coming back to get the mattress and they cussed, said they would come back and help me load stuff in my car. They did come back but didn't say a word or respond to me saying hi, took the mattress but again left without saying anything. I called their shop, they apologized, and gave $250 off of the 8k bill. I understand that trucks have a limit but it was made far more frustrating by the complete lack of communication by the lead after the initial paperwork. Instead of telling me they were getting full he spent his last two hours arguing with someone on the phone. Left me waiting for an hour total, making it impossible to leave in time when he could have told me they had to go. I am worried about the fate of my belongings after they left something expensive of mine on the sidewalk and left Update, They destroyed my entertainment center, lost screws from various pieces, and badly chipped my dresser. I only knew about the former when I paid because of the problems the previous day my inlaws had to meet them to unload. They called when I was twenty minutes out and said that I needed to approve payment now and told me about the entertainment center and got aggressive when I asked them to wait for me to arrive. They claimed it would be a 48 hour turn around but ten days nothing. I told them I was doing a charge back and magically they actually returned my call but then tried to bully me into taking a stupidly low offer that wouldn't have paid for half of the original piece never mind a replacement. I had to do a charge back.

Our movers were such a great team of men! We had 2 locations to pick up items at and they really packed the truck well to make sure there was room for ALL of our belongings. I had mentioned to them how anxious I was come moving day and they really made the process smooth. They were very responsive, professional, kind and worked very well together as a team. As it was my first time hiring movers, I really did know what to expect and these guys set the bar high. If we move again, we definitely won't think twice about using them again. Maybe we won't move on such a hot day next time!

My husband and I used Two Men and a Truck to do the first part of our big house move - basement/garage and storage unit. The office was so easy to work with, we even had to reschedule due to COVID, and they were extremely flexible. Additionally, the movers were polite, professional, and really nice to work with on the day of the move. Overall it was a very smooth experience start to finish.

I was not paid to write this review. During covid I decided to move from CA to PA and had the absolute worst moving experience ever with PODS and was extorted money at pickup and upon delivery by 24/7 logistics to get my belongings delivered to me. When I moved from PA to NY I was very hesitant to hire a moving company and thought about renting a uhaul but had no one to drive it while I drove my car. So I did my research and looked at BBB and chose Two Men and a Truck based on reviews. They were the nicest most kind people, from the office to the movers. The price was a flat rate with no hidden fees. I boxed my belongings prior but they wrapped my furniture nicely. They packed my apartment and then my storage unit and drove 6 hours in a super crazy thunderstorm and got everything unloaded and in my house within the same day! I am telling you from experience that this company is the real deal. They care about the customer. They are friendly and nice. They are informative and they give you quality service. Something that seems to be a rarity these days. True quality service! Stop looking - this company is the right move to take!!!
