The view is decent enough, it's calming and you can skip rocks. Many mosquitoes though and a LOT of algae in the lake. Overall good experience.

It’s spacious and clean. Restrooms and pipe water is available. A little bit cold in the night so make sure you have enough stuffs to warm up.

It was my first time camping there and I really liked it . Pretty clean and not crowded

We went on Sunday , 1/3/2021 at 7am. It rained and snowed the week before and has been sunny since. We were afraid there won't be much snow with a whole week of sun light. We got to the campground and got a wonderful surprise. There were plenty of powered snow for us to play and not a lot of people to share. We sled, snow fought, had hot pot for lunch, build snowmen. We left around 1pm which was when the whole place was getting really crowded. What a wonderful morning.

No it's a pond now it only has moss in it. But a awesome place to camp. Just know that there might be very loud rap music playing by some rude people and ranchero style Vicente Fernandez blasting. And stay upwind of the restrooms. Otherwise, happy camping!
Yes theyre allowed but up to 22 ft without hookups. Heres a link for more info on the campsite: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/angeles/recarea/?recid=41686
All u need is either a 1 day parking pass or get the year Adventure Pass both sold @ Big 5 the 1 day pass is $5.00 & the year pass is $30.00 so if ur only visiting for a short time then best bet is get the $5.00 pass if u live in California then get the year pass for $30.00
How much does a cabin cost for 2 adults for one night?
Right now there isn't until you check
Yes if you go up there you will need chains on your vehicle otherwise you won't be allowed to go up ...
$10 with an Adventure pass a night- $12 to camp without an Adventure pass a night per campsite.
$12 dollars a night and 2 cars xan fit in a.spot..
I think they are $60 per night and yes you need reservations but only about a week before. That's what Adam, the owner of the store there, said . He's the one who rents them.
No they don't have showers at least none that I've ever seen
yes pass the cafe
It's first come first serve basis. Each parking spot has a number, will need to pay by the night (cash).
Normally, yes, but we were just there a couple weeks ago and there were restrictions in effect because of the fire danger. No open flames of any kind, including propane camp stoves. This was not reflected on the forest service website, so I would call and check before going, or just plan on bringing cold food only.
Yes, we took a stove specifically for camping but they also have grills and fire pits you can cook on. Just be ready to clean them really good.
Yes you can. You can stay overnight without a tent and sleeping your vehicle. However the campsite does have a fee per night which is about $12 per night.
No not open but there are people visiting / out n about
Yes. Last time I went it was full of pond scum. But camps are really nice.
Free
Thousands
No fish there
Well if you have the A.P. then you can stay overnight so long as you are camping up there if you don't have an A.P. then so long as you pay for parking you have to be out b4 the Park Rangers come up there to kick ppl out or the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will also kick you out but b4 they kick you out they will get all of your info & give you a ticket...
I would never go fishing @ this lake if you would like to go fishing go to Lake Arrowhead & Big Bear Lake if u want anything good
There's is restrooms, no showers, trails don't know where they take you
The Crystal Lake as I remember it yes you could have taken a nice Swim in it but as the Lake looks now I wouldn't waste my time trying to swim in that lake... It's a great place to hike around & all that but not for swimming anymore...
No pool area around
First come first serve..$12 a night. Grab an envelope before you start looking so you are all set to tag it ..then go back and drop off your payment and spot number in envelope.
in this area there is no signal for cell phones
Didn't see anyone using trails for biking or signs that indicate bike trails.
Go online and the phone number is there. The man who runs the cafe there is in charge of.renting prices and reservations. Also at website are inside pics of cabins.
I think anyone can go as long as you pay
No swimming!!! But it is the one of the last natural lakes in cali.
If you park in the back it’s fine don’t have to really pay, the most is $12 a night or $5 adventure pass. No one really checks. Cabins is a different story.
Fishing if you have a license.
Actually yes thays exactly the Crystal lake it was shot at!
If you spend the night at a camp site? You are expected to leave the fee, which is posted, on the Honer system, Granted you have any????
Coldbrook campsite lower down the 39 is for RV's
110. Per day for the 4 of you and don't forget to add the taxes
No it needs to be put out before u go to bed
Sorry I wouldn't know, you would have to contact Crystal lake cafe that's up there. I don't have the number.
Yes;There's space but it's better to drive and check before going.
No but the bears are.
It’s usually quiet most of the time not very popular. Just park in the back it’s quieter.
Can you camp over night
No motor boats. I think a paddle is fine but the water level is low as of 9/29/17
