All u need is either a 1 day parking pass or get the year Adventure Pass both sold @ Big 5 the 1 day pass is $5.00 & the year pass is $30.00 so if ur only visiting for a short time then best bet is get the $5.00 pass if u live in California then get the year pass for $30.00
The sites feature a parking spot, I don't think you'd get any trouble doing so. You will more than likely need an adventure pass to stay. The year membership is worth it. The sites are adjacent to a little shop that might have them. If not REI carries them. Additionally, check with them to see if you need a fire permit. Things are still dry up here
