Waited 5 1/2 hours at their back to school immunization clinic. Workers were calling people out of order and were very rude when people asked questions. They continues to belittle and talk down on community members who were there to get shota.

I will NEVER deal with these people again!! The information/check in/greeting people are unkind and useless! The security guard is rude and confrontational! I felt like I was going to be attacked, arrested, or pepper sprayed!! I am disabled and use a walker and I felt unwelcome! The nurses, or whatever they are, spoke to me like I was trespassing! I have never been to a health department or other healthcare facility and been treated so poorly!

Went here twice, three years ago and a few weeks ago to finish getting the Food Handler card after taking the test online. More questions (8) on the test to confirm you learned and know the information than 3 years ago (3 questions then). Which is understandable and actually smarter on their behalf. Quit acting like an actress and leaving silly reviews when you're in the wrong, my friends.

I visited to register or rental home for the Healthy Homes Rental Inspection Program. Filling the PDF application out online was easy and I printed it out and brought it with me. I was quickly able to turn in my application, ID, and proof of ownership. The gentleman at the counter made copies for me and gave me a receipt for my credit card payment of $40. I was in and out in less than ten minutes on a Friday afternoon. I've included pictures of the info signs to show what other services are available here.

You can schedule a test by calling KCHD. Cost is $25, Add $10 if you're from out of the area. Tests are given Monday-Wednesday and Friday. No tests on Thursdays, and holidays can muck with the schedule, so give them a call.
You can get vaccine exemptions for children 18 and younger by going to the immunizations clinic, suite 1400, on Thursdays.

Yes, you can register and take your food handlers online. It gives you the option to start an account, so you can log in and out with out having to pay again. (Unless it takes you more than 30 days or you don't pass in 2 tries.) Once completed, and you have 70% or more on test, you print the certificate and take into the health department, where you get your id. Since you asked an opinoned question rather than a factual information request I'll answer in the same, with my opinion. I'd say "No, not yet." There is an abundance of qualified advice on the CDC, WHO, Jackson County, Education Bureau, and every city website (along with others). I would seek answers to medical questions there first, your PCP (primary care physician) office next. I'd suggest contacting by phone to reduce your risk of infection. Of course phone lines may be busy with an abundance of questions. I presume the mayor and governor announcing the state of emergency will provide additional funding that may staff the health department 24/7 in the near future, if necessary. I hope that encouraged you. Blessings and prayers!
