My husband spent five nights of respite care in this place and he died a week after coming home. I picked him up late in the evening in a state of neglect. I have tried contacting Villa of St Francis trying to find answers and no one seems to know anything and my phone calls are not being returned. I would not take your loved one here.

Our Mother passed away last Tuesday evening in the loving care of your facility, and with the compassionate hands of Shannon from Catholic Charities. First off, this transition for my Mom could not have gone any smoother, in my opinion, if it were not for the caring and compassionate hands that Shannon brought to Mom, and the rest of us. I am sure that none of us knew that this transition was coming as sudden as it did. It's my understanding that David was the gentleman who saw what was coming and called Shannon to assist Mom, and the family. God bless him! From the minute Shannon showed up she was hands-on. She explained, in detail, what her physical findings were and what was coming. Over the next couple of hours Shannon, and the rest of the staff on hand, made sure that Mother was comfortable and the family was well informed. This was the hardest thing I've had to endure in my adult life. Sitting next to my Mother and holding her hand while she took her last breath was excruciating, yet peaceful. It was sad, but knowing that Jesus, and the rest of her family and friends who have passed before, was waiting on the other side to show her the way to our Fathers house, has made this transition easier for me (though I still struggle with missing my Mom.) My wife and I would like to express our thanks to all of the staff who have taken care of my Mom over this past year, and would like for them to know that we, and the rest of Moms family, deeply appreciate the love, compassion, respect, and care that you all had shown my Mom. ( with special thanks going to Margaret, Big Mack, Mary, Jeanetta, David and certainly not least, Shannon)

It's not easy to be perfect all the time anywhere, ever. Villa St. Francis took very good care of my mother-in-law for 4 years while we were unable to provide her the care she required ourselves. The staff was attentive and my MIL felt comfortable and we felt comfortable with her in their care during the entire time she lived at Villa. We were there regularly (pre-COVID) and never had any concerns of the conditions or care. During COVID it was challenging not being able to visit, due to the many restrictions but the team did a good job with ensuring we could communicate with her daily as well as video chats. She passed away while in hospice and the nuns and hospice care were very kind and compassionate. We are not Catholic or religious and that didn't matter. We were able to spend her last days with her, even with the restrictions which meant a great deal to us and helped comfort and provide peace.

Both of my parents are/were residents at Villa St. Francis. (Mama passed August of 16.) I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff at Villa. They are more like an extended family. They continue to love and care for my father as if he was one of their own. This is not a profession as much as a calling, and it's clear to me that the staff is called to their positions at Villa. The facility is clean, the meals are tasty, there are plenty of activities and even occasional field trips open to those who wish to attend. My family is not Catholic, yet we have been welcomed with open arms. Dad even attends daily mass. I would recommend Villa St. Francis to anyone.
