Messed up my online order and put the wrong stuff in my car, which I didn't discover until I got home. Called and informed them of the mistake and the front desk employee didn't even apologize, just told me to come back to do a return and buy what I wanted. I live nearly an hour away and the project is now going to be delayed by several days, costing me a lot more money because the contractor showed up to do the work and couldn't because Home Depot employees can't seem to be able to read and pick out the correct items. A refund takes at least a couple of days so I can't buy what I need until the refund processes because of that delay and the fact that I don't have an extra couple hundred dollars lying around to "just buy it again" right away. Sad as it is, it seems customers must treat the employees as kindergartners and verify everything, making sure they are able to follow basic instructions - simple matching skills are beyond their abilities!!

My preferred store and very happy shopping here. my only complaint is, its hard to find a sheet material cart towards the end of the day. Bought a peice of 1/2" Styrofoam today and couldnt find a cart so i just carried it. Got outside and wind caught it and i thought it was gonna get broken before i could get to the pickup, was $28 luckly i made it without breaking. Could you have someone bring in carts from the parking lot more often. Thank you

Not many stores have amazing customer service, but most of the people at the Topeka Home Depot are super helpful and friendly! I am always asked if I am finding everything okay and if not, the employee will guide me to the item instead of pointing or giving verbal directions.

I paid for delivery of a freezer. Appliance delivered damaged, employee claimed I needed to bring the freezer in myself for the exchange, and cart the new one home on my own.... after I paid for delivery on the first one. When I complained, manager offered $75 refund, then claimed all he could give was a store credit... but not one I could take with me. I had to buy something in the store immediately for $75 to get my "refund". Felt like the guy lied to me repeatedly, was stringing me along. I contacted corporate to complain (which is hard to do... they dont make talking to someone easy!) but they did nothing. I wont buy from these liars again.

Good to Dicks or Walmart instead of Home Depot
Have no idea. Just bought a new washer from them was in the store frequently didn't see anything close to that. Best thing to do is call them.

Because Home Depot doesn't want you to see any customer reviews they've received in the last couple of years or so. Here's just one example I have. I ordered a refrigerator from Home Depot on 12-15-21. Told I would get it in 3-to 5 business days. This is now 2-13-22 & I still don't have it yet! What's worse, H.D. keeps lying to me about where the refrigerator is. Finally, I found out from the delivery service on my own, that HD can't get the product from the manufacturer because they no longer make it! HD then told me to go to the local HD store and get my money back. I charged this refrigerator to my H. D. C. Card, but the store won't give me my money back because their system says the refrigerator is en route to my house, which it is not!! Now the cost of the refrigerator is on my HD credit card and HD is demanding the first payment due. HD used to be a well organized, helpful, and honest hardware store. It has changed for sure! WARNING: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE FROM HOME DEPOT.

There are many items that you can have delivered for free. However, there is a charge for other items that they deliver. Make sure you clarify what you want to have delivered and see if there is a charge.
