Had a Gear Vendors overdrive unit on vehicle I recently purchased that wasn't working. Contacted customer service & spoke with Dave several times. There is no service for their product. GV can't even recommend a shop. Don't buy one. They can't tell you a shop to install one.

If automatic transmission could be either the gearvendors or the Trans. Easy to tell by your description of what it feels like and how it progressed. Call 800-999-9555 and press 1 for the tech support guys here.
If the parking brake system is the same should be very simple. This refers to the drum brake at the back of the transmission. Some are mechanical and some are automatic hydraulic. We make both types but I do not know what you have now and if it’s the same as the new application you are considering. Call us at 619-562-0060 Thanks

The main Factory for your vendors is Los Angeles if you call them they can tell you what place is across the country install their unit you can also order directly to gear vendors in LA and install the unit yourself or find someone to install it I'd still call them in LA
