Tried to do walk in as it stated online that they are taking it. I thought that Lady that supposed to help me on front desk was name Karen. Later I found out her name was Lorry or something Likr that. I tried to update my medical on the record. She said too many ppl for today already. Didn’t know any to listen me at all. She was acting rude and like this DMV belong to her . She acted like she been sleeping there for 35 years . If they put sign bye don’t come back would do more polite job then her . She forgot who is paying for her to be there , her purpose there too.she told me she doesn’t need appointment. Maybe she is a CEO there ? Would like to get a answer :).

Roger answered all my questions over the phone very thoroughly on how to transfer my cdl from another state.
The running man
Absolutely useless and unprofessional. Called them with simple questions: my CDL licenses status (recently passed and exam). What I expected in return (ether of below options would work): - guidance how to make a request online - get mail address to request information - book appointment to visit office What I received: you have to visit us onsite w/o appointment and waste few hours in the queue to receie a reply, that would take us 10 minutes to respond. Totally unprofessional and customer careless.

They are good with processing commercial licenses, I have had bad experiences with other DMV office regarding my license. However, the LINE has become terrible. And with the new requirements now people are being turned away after waiting for 2 or more hours in a room with no TV and no internet access. LONG WAIT, unable to get appointment. Do not know if they even do appointments.

Me toó please answer
Your best bet is to go in and talk to them they are friendly and helpful, they will tell you your next steps.. Making an appointment is difficult!
Have to call for appts. I went down as a walk-in to do mine on 10/02/2020. Go early before 1:00pm
Commercial DMV yes
Only if it is for a commercial drivers license.
Do I Take written test or do answer a few questions to receive my license
You can contact the DMV and they will issue you another one for a fee. If the license is still current then you don't need to go to the DMV, just do it online.
The day your medical expires you no longer can drive as Class B. There is no window on medical.
Yes. I have gone here specifically for that several times. In and out in minutes.
No, must be commercial license.
You can make appointment online
It all depends on your driving record if you have to take any tests for renewal. if you're driving record is pretty clean and you're dropping your hazmat usually you don't have to do any tests.
You can mail it in to the DMV.gov site but you can now make appointments to get in to DMV in El Cajon. I wouldn't mail it in. You can also follow the steps on the site and put in all the pertinent information from your medical report to process it more quickly.
As far as I know you can just stop by and drop it off but to be on the safe side I would make that appointment
You can but you will have to go there and make an appointment first
As of right now California CDL DMV are waving the test for what you already have on your CDL except for Hazmat. So I believe all you would have to do is take and pass the S part and of course pay. Here is there address and phone number, Commercial Driver License Unit; 1530 Hilton Head Rd Ste 105 El Cajon CA, 92019 phone number 619-456-6850
This site is for commercial drivers. You'll have to go to location and someone in the lobby will give u a future appointment
You can walk in and drop it off or make a appointment if you don't want to write in line and be sure to wear a mask.
If you have a CDL you will have to bring a few items...and can only be done in person...review website, it gives you a list of what you need
Well if you make an appointment it will only take you about 20 to 30 minutes. But if you show up before they open you do not need an appointment. A much better option.
Yes, however you will not have a class b manual endorsement
Actually this place is for commercial drivers license. So if you have a commercial license, then yes you can apply and get a real ID.
Cash is the best choice, they accept it.
There are tests to practice on YouTube and also on the DMV page.
You can go in person or probably call the 1-800 number so they can give you the commercial phone number
Regular DMV office
At this location, only if you are playing for a commercial license in the state of California. Otherwise you will need to go to a regular DMV.
Yes you can, I did the same thing but it was right after I renewed my license. Otherwise you might have to retake the commercial license
I would say yes, unless your license also expired.

You don't need to take an exam again if you had class C license before

No
No. Only commercial vehicles.
Only if you have a commercial drivers license CDL.
To get a CDL...drivers must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public and respond to official inquiries to drivers . The commercial driving test is administered in the English language only. This is pur-suant to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations §§391.11(b)(2) and 383.133©(5).
They will process it for you...but green card is not required for a few years now.
No, closed today.
For commercial vehicles, yes.
