Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Cool place that serves Texas barbecue. It's always packed and we had to wait at least 30 minutes before ordering. The prices are normal, I would say almost low to be in Colorado. You can see the guys cutting the meats in front of you so everything should be fresh. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, nice and juicy, and the sauces made it even better. I tried some of the brisket and I hated it, the taste of smoke is really really strong, almost tasted like burnt plastic. Love the idea to get yourself pickles, onions, jalapenos or anything you need from a selfservice table. The coleslaw was just ok, I would not order it again. The potato salad was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. The banana pudding was also delicious, it had real banana pieces and it didn't taste artificial. Can't wait to eat here again, hoping to maybe find it less crowded next time. Super recommended!

Amazing breakfast tacos!!! And the smoked Turkey sandwich from the market sure beats waiting in the main line. Try it with onions and sauce for a delicious lunch. Only wish they served fresh roasted coffee from Mission Coffee Roasters with their breakfast tacos. That would be perfect!!!

Rudy's has always been a must stop when traveling through Manitou & Colorado Springs. There is always room to eat even when the line is a long wait for food. The style of this restaurant is fun! I love the sodas and beer placed in flat top coolers while waiting in line. The price is a bit high but it was worth it for the food. The brisket wasn't very hot and had a lot of fat on it which was disappointing. The rest of the food was amazing though, very filling. They have a large selection of bottled drinks and beers while serving Coke and Dr. Pepper fountain drinks. The place was clean and the employees were friendly.

So delicious. Best BBQ I've had in a while. Ribs and creamed corn. Almost perfect. Well for sure be a returning customer well done guys.
