We haven’t officially stayed here yet, but were scheduled to come in at the end of the month for 14 days. Unfortunately, we have had to reschedule our travel plans. When I called to cancel our reservation, they stated that they would provide us back with a gift certificate to be used later rather than issue a refund. I just found out it is written in their policy that they don’t give back refunds. We have been full time RVing for 6 years now and have never experienced another campground with such a policy. We have had some hold your deposit or a 1-2 night payment if canceled, but most give full refunds if you cancel greater than 48 hrs, which we did. So, I am basically out $600 plus dollars now. Whenever we get a chance to visit again, I guess we are locked into staying here in the future. However, since we are from Texas, that won’t be happening anytime soon and it may be years until we come again, and I can only hope they are still in business at that time. I am writing this review so others can be more aware of this policy, as I was not aware of it previously when making the reservation. With the way the economy and prices are escalating, it has become an unfortunate decision for some to have to re-arrange travel plans. I am very disappointed in how their refund policy is handled and would encourage them to consider changing it for future campers.

We rented an RV to go on vacations with our granddaughter and stayed for a week at the campground. The location was great and had a wonderful view. The staff was very cordial, friendly and helpful. They offer lots of activities: Biking, Kayaking, Tubbing, Water Rafting, etc The Campground was very clean, including the restrooms. Luis did rounds checking if people needed anything and helped us in many ways. He always answered our questions in a polite and friendly manner. This was an unforgettable experience.

Great Campground! We stayed for the first time in April, and had such a great experience that we booked before we left, for the July 4th weekend! Both sites we stayed on are right next to the Potomac with amazing views and convenient kayaking. We did a Kayak trip where we went in the water basically from our site and they picked us up 6 miles down river, loaded our boats and brought us back, at a reasonable price. Above all was the customer service and the friendliness of “all of the staff.” They are extremely friendly, accommodating and more than happy to help. Luis I particular was awesome, and could not have been more helpful and patient answering so many of our questions. He remembered us from April and came over to greet us as we were pulling in. Great guy and great campground!

My husband and I have been biking the C&O canal for at least 5 years and never knew this campground existed! It’s located on the trail and on the water’s edge but secluded to east of the Brunswick trail head. We Wake up, jump on our bikes and off we go! Have seen eagles, owls, snakes and hundreds of turtles while riding. Can’t wait to try tubing down the river!!!

Yes she will
13 a night for a tent
March 30th - November 4th 2018 is their season this year. They give discounts up to 4 week stays, so at least that long.
Not sure youd want too! Unless you have a camper with toilet. The only thing to do there is enjoy the river, its warm right now. Or to go to do River activities, im sure are not year round. The town there is cute but desolate. Theres an amazing cafe called Beans on the Belfrey. But thats ALL!
We do but not very many. Premium sites 1,2,3.
Alcohol is not permitted anywhere in the campground except within one’s RV, trailer, or tent. Those who violate this policy will be asked to leave with no refund. 🍺

The entrance is the C&O bike Trail. Go across the railroad tracks and turn left you are on the bike path to the camp ground, it's about the only place where you can drive a vehicle on the path
Check for safe water levels. River & Trail can run a shuttle for you.
Check out their website. They prefer you register and check in, but there is a procedure if you can't. It is all detailed on the website.
It is best... but walk-ins can be helped too.
We are not allowed to have golf carts - only carts in the campground are with the staff to do the chores of the campground.
