Hands down one of the most true to self, honest, and welcoming wineries around. A friend and myself went to Delaplane while it was thundering and raining outside and we were told they had no space for us unless we wanted to sit outside... in the storm... we were unceremoniously instructed to "call first in the future... sorry..." Thankfully, we googled and found Arterra Wines, called, and were told we were welcome. At first arrival, this place was a little gem in the woods. Very, snow white finding a cottage past the babbling brook and all. You literally drive over a little brook. If you do not need special assistance, park in the front lot because the higher lot has less incline, but the front has steps which lead right to the entrance. The tasting room is BEAUTIFULLY crafted with exposed beams and wood. There is also a trail that is accessible from the main building for anyone who is feeling adventurous. Lauren welcomed us as soon as we walked into the door and explained the tasting process and menu options. She was an ABSOLUTE delight. Her counterpart, Kelley was also especially personable and accommodating. Both women had expert and fluent knowledge of all the varieties of wine and processes that went into their vinification. Some say the best laid plans come from disaster. Today was one of those days. Thank you Arterra for being the breath of fresh air on a rainy day. Thank you to Lauren and Kelly, for being unpresumptuous and accommodating. We will be back.

Took a spontaneous road trip and ended up at this lovely place. Love the woodsy setting, the BEAUTIFUL artwork and photos. The staff is very friendly, Kelley especially. Wines are clean, you can taste it. The two reds I tried were really good for the region. Ended up buying a bottle of the Traminette after a whim sampling (was going to get the Rose or a red). But the T has an effervescence that was my deciding factor. The bottles are very pretty too, not the label type but art. Definitely recommend and look forward to going back.

Experience two of the best red wines I have ever tasted… Country run blend and a petite Verdot. I bought them as gifts to give but ended up drinking both myself and I’m going back to pick up more. If you are a red drinker, and you are looking for an excellent red wine, I highly recommend those two.

Had a wonderful experience at Arterra yesterday! The wine was delicious, and Lauren was an amazing host who ensured we got a group photo for my bachelorette weekend! It was so very appreciated!
