Very hot - would recommend going early or during wintertime. Crazy little place in what feels like the middle of nowhere

I greatly enjoy all hot springs, including this one. The palms here are nice despite having burned recently. The barn owls at night are cool too. The water is soothing and hot enough to be uncomfortable after a few minutes sometimes. The area surrounding the spring seems to remain picked up and neat. Interstate 8 is very close and the noise is the only detraction.

Very busy place in mid-afternoon. The (bigger) hottest pool was being cleaned so left only the smaller & cooler pool to use which was full with 5 or 6 people. There is also a big farm trough which would hold 2 intimately - it was also full. I tried again in the morning around 10 and it was a little less busy. Nice little Oasis beside the Interstate.

Are there showers to rinse off there?

Norano Bordo | Sep 4, 2019
V S | Sep 4, 2019

Yes. There is a hot springs shower for rinsing off before entering one of the two pools, but if you would like a soap shower, bring a gallon jug to collect hot spring water directly from the tap. Let your jug cool, and then take it around the corner, on the east side of the fence. There is a wooden platform and table to set your water and toiletries on. Soap up and then use your jug to rinse off.

Unfortunately, this is one of the many hot springs in California where coke isn't available. To make matters worse, nothing in the way of black, blues, bars, reds, or shards either.
