As the grand nephew of jazz legend & guitar pioneer -- Lonnie Johnson, I have been trying to see if any of his roots had been passed down to me lol. Ryan is a VERY experienced & talented musician along with being an extremely patient rep of Imperial Vintage Guitars. He was immediately able to right-size me within my skill level and budget range the first time I walked through the door. I'm learning faster than expected thanks to Ryan's linking me to the right guitar that delivers a rich addictive sound that keeps me playing. I'm already two guitars in and am sure every guitar will be coming from Ryan.

My Stratocaster was in need of some TLC. I'm new to Burbank and basically California, and I needed to find a place fast. And I did. Imperial Vintage Guitars. Upon walking into the shop, I was awestruck by the overall authentic vibe. It's what a quaint guitar shop should be—well-worn, full of character, and jammed full of guitars that take up most of the space. The staff is knowledgeable, and it's pretty obvious that they are guitar aficionados. My guitar was left in the safe hands of Ryan who works in the shop. He estimated a very reasonable two week turn around for setup. The shop sent my Stratocaster to the guitar master himself, Ryan.Yes, you read that right - another Ryan. Ryan called me about a week later to discuss the logistics of the set up. He was very professional. The conversation felt like I was talking to an old friend I haven’t seen in a while. He was really personable. The guitar took a little longer than expected. While it was a little frustrating at one point, Ryan handled the confusion with immediate attention and went above and beyond to help me. After I picked up the guitar, Ryan even called me later that day to be sure that I was okay with everything. Again, top service. My Stratocaster looks amazing and it plays beautifully. The action on the neck feels just how I needed it and the switching between pickups is clean as a whistle. No more yucky static. Also, my red volume knob doesn’t spin anymore. Thank you Ryan for that extra fix. Hell, I even wrote a song today. Whether you’re new in town or a local, Imperial Vintage Guitars is the right place if you want the right service from people who really care.

Awesome customer service, quick shipping and described exactly how they said. I’m not sure what the negative reviews were about, but being on the east coast, I ordered my guitar from IVG and I had no problems with communication, shipping, or items described. I am more than happy with my purchase, and I look forward to future business with them.
