A campground with a lot of trees, birds, and stars. This place is surrounded by several hiking trails. Also has a good sized lake nearby. Reception sometimes works. A lot of birds to watch, so bring your binoculars!

It's a great little campground in Arrow Bear. Although no showers , it is a perfect place to be to get away from any negativity you might have.

The host was absolutely sweet. It was the cleanest camping ground I've be too. Everything was close by, there was a lot to do. I'm already planning my next visit 😊

First time went for a camping trip and this is the campground that my friends choose. Nice quiet place. They have restrooms, bear proof food storage, fire pit and set of bench and table in the sch camp site. There's hiking path connected to the campground.

How much daily
Yes the water is back to normal
Yes it is.
There are several nice trails from and through the campgrounds. However, I don't recall a hiking trail from the campgrounds directly to the lake. There are many private homes between and all around the lake.
For Memorial Day 2018, all spaces were reserved ahead of time. Check recreation.gov for availability before you go!
Yes campfires are allowed unless it gets really windy( one of the few that allowes fires). Beautiful campground, super clean facilities.
Yes
There is snow in the shady spots and the campground is closed...
Not really. This campground does have nice bathrooms with a sink that you can clean off in there or random water faucets throughout for random use.
Yes you can put up hammocks and yes you can gather kindling. It's preferred that you burn local.
There aren't showers at this location just bathrooms
Recreation.gov for info and to make reservations
No. Green Valley Lake has a private lake which the public may use. It's within walking distance of the campground. There is fishing, boat rentals and a swimming beach available. From the campground, you can hike the dirt road back into the forest where there is a stream. It's size depends on the time of year you visit it. The lake also has an overflow at one end that generates a waterfall in the spring.
They sell firewood in the town market cheaper than at the campground. Sometimes it's hard to contact the hosts later in the day. They work in the grounds away from the host campsite.
I noticed that they recently put in metal storage lockers for food in each campsite. There has also been bear activity in the neighborhoods. You should keep your campsite clean of any trash. Lock up food. Supervise small children at all times. There is other wildlife including mountain lion and coyotes in the surrounding forest. You can usually scare bear away with loud noises. They are most active between dusk and dawn. You may not even see them.
