General manager was very accommodating and professional to our situation. The gym is a little on the smaller side but it has everything you need. EDIT: We had not realized there was a whole upstairs area haha. The gym is great and the size of it seems more reasonable now!

This is my 2nd home. Love downtown and Uptown gym in Santa Barbara. Community is strong at these gyms. Great equipment. Not overcrowded.

Although I have gone to all three Gold's Gyms in Santa Barbara and they're all good, this review is about their downtown location. I really enjoy this gym. They are in somewhat tight quarters due to being downtown but I can always get my workout done. They have a number of Les Mills and other group classes that I enjoy, they have plenty of machines and weights, and the staff has always been friendly with me. In addition, I regularly see the gym being cleaned (even when Covid wasn't a thing). Parking is located next door (city parking with first 75 minutes free). I go to the gym most days so I feel I get a pretty good bang for my buck. Towel service is provided but they are charging a nominal amount during Covid. Overall, I am very happy with my gym!
