Much praise and respect for the men and women of the CHP. Helpful, professional and willing to put their lives on the line for the community and enforcing safety on our roads. Thanks for all you do!

First an officer passes me doing at least 60 in a 35 going downhill into Casitas springs on the 33 (with no lights on, illegal for them to do) and then right where the freeway begins there was wood debris covering both lanes making me use the shoulder to get around. Why was this officer not stopped with his lights on to warn people of dangerous road conditions? What good is the highway patrol if they arent patrolling the highway? This is the second time this has happened in the past few months and both times I try to call the CHP but their office is closed. Strangely enough there are officers waiting on the roads to hand out tickets 24/7 but nothing when they're actually needed

I was pulled over on the 126, for going a little fast, and the officer was very professional and courteous. Luckily he gave me a warning. It made me realize how underappreciated the CHP officers are and how dangerous to be by yourself and pulling people over. The respect for law enforcement is undeserving low and I give you my praise for a most challenging job and how well you all deal with it.

CHP rocks! Around 9pm last night, I gotta tire blowout on 101 South, a few miles past Carpinteria...scary (especially in the dark night). Lots of road construction, moving arrow trucks, blocking lanes, diverting traffic, cars attempting to navigate the roadway. Luckily, I was able to drive a few miles until I spotted a Call Box by the beach (Ventura County). I spoke to a female operator who attempted to alleviate my fear, said she would alert the CHP and someone would come. On the shoulder of the road, I waited in my car, nervously biting my nails as my two little dogs sat staring at me from the backseat. Then, like the cavalry coming to save the save the day, the lights of the CHP car pulled up behind my car. The CHP Officer said it would be quicker to change my tire than have me wait for a tow truck and probably safer (I thought) as the cars zipped by. He was certainly a caring human, and I thank him for his kindness!!!!! This is not first time the CHP has helped. I appreciate them!
