Honestly some of the best Escape Rooms I have ever done. I have done the Bunker and the Diner and cannot wait to come back and do the Cabin (it's supposed to be their hardest one!). They even have Escape Rooms in pure Virtual Reality, I just finished fighting off a dragon, epic.

I was looking for something fun to do with my family. We decided to go to Evolution Escape. The website says that 3 people are required to run the room. We had 3 people so it was perfect! Upon arrival, we were told that we needed to pay for 5 people to play. Talk about bait and switch. In their frequently asked questions, it says that to get a private room, you have to buy all available tickets. We were cool with just buying the 3 and having a public room. The Evolution team was not. They insisted upon the 5 person minimum that was written exactly NOWHERE. I spoke with a manager named James and he was unhelpful. He stuck to the company line. I spoke with his manager (CeCe?) and she told me that I had misread the advertising (which I had not). They’d rather leave the room empty than allow us to pay for just the 3 people. It’s absurd. I’m a reasonable person, if there’s a room rate, state it. If there’s a minimum, state it. Don’t say a minimum of 3 and then charge for 5. It’s a pretty simple concept. I’d recommend avoiding this place along with its parent organization Xtreme Action Park.

So much fun. This was our first escape room and loved the time, space, and experience. Lilly and Nicolle were so nice and helpful. We are definitely going back to try more.

Geneva Trail was quite frankly one of the worst escape rooms I have ever done, and I have done a lot of them. First thing we noticed when we got in the room is that there was no AC. By the end it looked like we had gone to the gym and completed a 60 minute spinning course. Next was half of the props were broken and had signs saying please do not touch. After starting the room we had one of the staff essentially telling us what to do over the walkie talkie what you should be doing. We do not want anyone telling us what we should be figuring out on our own, it kind of defeats the purpose. Finally in the last room there are instructions on using some balance scale, which apparently was broken also. So what they did was introduce a digital scale to figure out the final puzzle. Unfortunately the scale was not in the correct units so calculating the final code was impossible. After sweating and struggling with this puzzle for like 15 minutes or so, someone had to come in and reset the scale. Finally we got the correct code and we were able to escape and enjoy some AC which was by far the best part of the whole experience. I highly suggest you go somewhere else. 0/5 stars
