I really enjoyed my night at this bowling alley. We were greeted when we walked in and the guy that checked us out was extremely nice and overall gave off great vibes. I think his name was Christian. He over heard it was one of our birthdays and turned on the happy birthday sign without saying a word. He made our experience 100x better since we all sucked at bowling. Customer service 10/10. Definitely coming back!

We had a fun time bowling here! We were able to find a Groupon for the 5 of us to play for 2 hours including shoe rental. Staff was extremely friendly & accommodating! It is an older venue but clean. We were given lane #29, which needs work. After throwing the first ball the set up machine would pick up the remaining pins and Drop 1 or 2 of them or a pin would be knocked over and the computer didn't register it so the reset button would have to be hit a lot. The lane itself seemed to be pitted in spots and make the ball donsome strange things. We were playing with our grandkids so it wasn't a serious game so we didn't complain but if you want to play seriously, you may want to check out another lane.

It’s an OK place to bowl. I’m just getting back into bowling after a 25 year layoff. I’ve just moved to Florida a few months ago and I remember Florida used to be the place where bowling was king. I guess that was 25 years ago too. This is the 4th bowling alley I’ve been to on my trek back and I have to say Margate is right there in the middle. Which is why I gave it a 3. Saturday afternoon on a 100 degree day and there was only a few folks on one lane. All the virus stuff was in check. Markings on the floor and signs everywhere. Nice job there. With the way things are now a days, this is the first place I’ve been to where they are charging full price. $6.75 per game! Wow! For that money they could at least put some oil down on the lanes. The lanes were so dry my ball was hooking as soon as it hit the wood. The approaches were so sticky the folks next to me had to move. After 8 frames I stuck so much I felt my thigh pop and that was the end for me. I finished up by chucking the ball at the line so I wouldn’t hurt myself further. The person at the desk asked if I wanted to join a league and I nicely declined. If this is the way they keep things there’s no way I could last a week let alone a season with these conditions. I know things are hard and they need the money to stay open but for the bowlers sake put some oil on the lanes, even if it’s just the few you will use during the day and do something about the approaches or someone will take you to court. I’m not one of those people. I hope this review helps. Maybe in better times Margate will be at the top of it’s game

During what seems to be the busy time on a Saturday night, they only had one person taking the orders and assigning lanes. The food is decent better than I thought but of course overpriced. Lastly they are extremely understaffed because everything you wanted to do was at least a 25 minute wait. From ordering your lanes, ordering your food, ordering beer and getting shoes. Just get more employees.
