Wonderful experience working with the Miami Rescue Mission staff for an after hours donation. They were extremely helpful and accommodating, good people doing good work. Highly recommend.

Visited/Volunteered with my office partners for an amazing organization. They need the communities assistance in sorting donations, painting/touching up paint so the facilities continue looking good. You don't have to have big pockets to make a big impact!

To me it is the caring place it helped change my life drew me closer to the Lord it's a men's facility where you deal with your emotions your heart your heart intentions and it teaches you how to get back into society I love this place five out of five all day
Monica Gasser
I have donated there many times and there is always someone there to help and the parking lot is I front and f the door where they get the donations from your vehicle, All donations go to homeless shelters and domestic violence centers. If you want to help those who need it most, this is the best place for that. Call in advance because the address is a block Fortier than the drop off location. But the do amazing Job and they are super organized. May the Lors keep blessing that wonderful mission.

Can I get help in Miami if I’m from another city
Looking for Caleb Crawford, we have not seen him in 2 years. Was he ever at your shelrer?
Yes you and your friends cann just volunteer.
It works if you work it
you would have to contact the homeless trust, they usualy come to eat at the miami rescue mission at 11 every day, they have the inscription on the car with the brand "homeless trust". wait for them and talk nicely, they are eagered to help. other than that if you have a serious problem talk to the police and they will try to help you as well. going in and asking ad the front desk is always a good option, they will guide you trough the procedure. wish you well.
If he's just looking for housing try calling the green shirts but coming in he won't be able to work it'll be a part of the regeneration program which is a 8 to 12 month program. You could try places like salvation army or Chapman partnership and they'll give you more information but for him to just come in and work that would be the work program and you would have to try the green shirts
Green Shirts is an organization that places homeless in shelters. You have to call them to make an appointment. 305-960-4980 Hope they help you.
Go stand in the airport.
Yes we do take in people without a state ID without the Florida ID but our intake days are Monday mornings be here before 6:00 a.m.
No. That shelter is not for family's. It is a men's shelter only. Try the shelter Camillus House because they allow men and women there but they have men on one section and women on a separate section and you may be put on the women's section with your children. I know this because I was homeless two years ago and I stayed at Camillus House and it's a great homeless shelter and very clean and safe shelter they have gards on duty day and night. Plus the staff are very polite and friendly too there. They even have a huge Cafe and very delicious food as well. I loved it while I was there. It's beautiful shelter and huge. It's known as the biggest shelter in Dade County as well because it is a multi million shelter in Miami. Plus they are on YouTube too. Check out them on YouTube. You'll be impressed by the shelter video of Camillus House.
Yes friend
Yes. Have to get in touch with the volunteer department headed by Ms. Cooper. 305 571 2211
There's several restaurants hiring and you can go the career source center for help with job search.
Half of them have cell phones for low income people
No 👎

Yes you can we try to give you help to quit but you can still smoke while going through the program.
2020 NW 1ave. & go to the front desk directly. T. You...😇
You can stop there and speak with the intake coordinator, he can help you find somewhere to get help
I tried and nobody answered then someone came out and said that at 6am monday and they only let 10people in
The Mission maybe the right place. Find out about the programs offered so you can get right back on your feet. There isnt anything better than gaining your confidence back. One step at a time!
Brian...what Chris said is correct...pks call them they have programs that you can sign up for to help you off the streets... God bless bro
Sorry I'm so late to get in your to your response but they serve food Monday through Friday at 3:00 Saturday and Sunday they serve through the back gate
No single room occupancy. Not even in Chapman nor Camillus shelters. ya gotta queue up Monday morning 7am. They're probably gonna want you to join a drug program or take psych meds to get funding. Was Friday your first meal under the canopy tent?
Will they have Miami Rescue Mission for women was more of a program like 12 months if a document you just need to make sure you have that you got your shots all you've been tested
Yes, I recommend that you go next Monday from 7 to 9 in the morning to the Miami rescue mission that is at 2020 NW 1 avenue and ask for Alex Chaviano and he can tell you where they can help you.
It's for male only. We do have a women center. And a family center and a spot in Broward
Thank you very much for the information 😊 but I get that it is closed... How can I do
Miami rescue mission only on Mondays at 7 in the morning they receive people who want to enter the program they are given food 3 times a day, clothes and bed and if they finish the program they are helped to find low-income housing without having health insurance , they are also helped to get or renew their papers
NO 🚭 smoking. It's a smoke 🚬 free campus except out by the back gate. If you live inside, you already know this.
Yes, yes a smoking area in the back. The program is typically a year long.
They essentially do, yes. If I remember what my professor told me, you go through a program that works the same way as college where you graduate as Alpha, where you are able to work in a job while still being monitored so that you don't fall back on your addiction or whatever caused you to become homeless. You also have a living space within Miami Rescue Mission until you earn enough to get your own place, if I'm sure.
Go there and network in the streets. They serve meals outdoors M-F 3-5pm . That's where you ask. I don't think they're taking in any new people. They let you in for showers 2-4pm, and there's the portapotty in the alley.
Yes, they will help you
I'm sorry but I never be inside in Miami rescue mission I'm trying to get in I am homeless myself I just got here from Washington State and I don't have nowhere to go I'm trying a lot of places and they're still throwing me down I'm trying to get my life together I don't want to be in it on the street like a lot of people don't want to do nothing for their self I'm trying to do something for myself
Were r u now
If you have a car you would have to get through by calling the green shirts of Miami if you're coming in the program you cannot have a car
Sleep in the street or go to Camillus House on NW 7th Ave & NW 20th St . Miami Rescue Mission is a men's shelter. You need to be there @ 6am .
Miss Dee , hello and thank you for your response. I am a single disabled at risk of being homeless women coming from Palm Beach County ... I am seeking shelters and programs that will help somehow in an emergency 24/7 situation incase -Thank you
In Miami rescue mission there are many people who speak Spanish, including the supervisor, the director and the social wolk, and they are obliged to find someone who speaks Spanish for you.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and you can go at 4 pm Their number is online also 305 571 2211
Shelter are open but they change because of virus but they steal helping people everywhere they have also many programs to help homeless and there are many opportunities.
The requirements for volunteers are they must have a face mask, no shorts, and something you feel comfortable in. As far as trying to answer your question about your Lam disability. I would recommend you call or email The Miami Mission to inform them that you are Lam disable, and would that stop you from volunteering. If the answer is no then you should find what volunteering jobs are available.
Not at this one
We do intake on Monday morning. Be here at around 4:30am to be before others trying to get in. There are 3 programs Rehab program Working program Non working program You really just need some identification. Just be here on Monday morning. Any other question?
Miami Rescue Mission have intake for Monday morning at like 5 a.m. but you can still call the only thing they let you in like tomorrow morning
They have mens and women's centers and women & children but no joint accommodation for men and women.
The rescue mission is only for men yes you can keep all your personal property and I'm not sure what time you have to be here in order to get a bed I hope all of these answers are accurate enough to every question that you asked
Not an easy answer Please google green shirts-or- hang around clark govt ctr early weekday mornings. Are you employed homeless or an addict in need of rehab? Green shirts have options for men in miami area. Look into-all facilities have limited bed space.
Yo can get a meal mon-wed-fri-sat at 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. Then they can give you some info and the programs they have.
You can't stay at the Mission because it is a treatment program but they do provided meals to the community around 3 in the evening on certain days
If, on a monday, you sign up for the regeneration program, you will be required to stay inside the mission for 67 days. This is for detox reasons. You only get put out if you break the rules. Good Luck, give this program a try.
Be at front gate on mondays at 5am. Intake is limited to first people in line. No reservations are given ahead of time. Ask for Fernando.
Calling them would be your best bet. They will go through the rules and requirements in order to get in with you.
Yes bur get there early so you can learn. How everything works
Yes they do for the residents in the program :)
We have a 30-day program, and a 60-day program as well. After you have been through orientation and met with your case manager and medically cleared it is recommended that you occupy yourself between 9 and 4 doing something productive. It can be attending classes here but at some point you will have to go job hunting and or housing hunting.
Not here but they will point you in the right direction
I would call first. They will need to know what type of food.
Currently it is on Mondays Wednesday Fridays and Saturdays. Guests can arrive at 3:30 meal served at 4:15pm
Yes go to Miami rescue mission 2020 nw 1st ave
There are different programs at the mission. If you choose to do their drug program then you can check in on mondays. However if you are trying to do the work program then you have to either go through the city of miami homeless trust or the city of miami beach homeless outreach.
You need to contact the City of Miami Beach, Homeless Services
All three of the greyhound bus stations are far from the shelter so you would have to take a metrobus from the station and transfer from that bus onto a number 2 metrobus which will get you closest to the shelter. You most likely have to call and find out the forms of id you need
Freddie, the intake day is on Monday. Come and talk to the staff.
Yes they can help there will be an Easter event tomorrow from 930 until 1130 after they will be feeding lunch. They will also be doing a few special intakes at the end of the service
David, if you can, call them set an appointment. Go to your appointment you'll be talking to a counselor. The counselor will explain to you the different programs that they have available. Also, you can go any day to get food. However, you need to call them and find out if it's just for food what time to show up. But, if you want real assistance to get a place to stay to get a program some people go to get their GED and trained to get a job, you need to set up an appointment with a counselor. But all in all, just call them. Good luck David.
Do you need a ride to the rescue mission?
Describe individuals such as yourself. They help homeless, substance dependent, people down on their luck, seekers of spiritual fellowship and various other categories.
Call them and ask
Call 311 they will be able to tell you
Pray to God to become alcohol n drug free, go to church, pray on your knees, one of u can get a job quick, take baths at the public beach by putting a dollar of baby shampoo on your head, then wash it off, no one can accuse u if bathing at the shower, out your stuff away from u first, in bushes, so no one can c a homeless cart or anything
I could do it for free
