1st time and it was really not what I expected. Very nice atmosphere. Took someone for there first time playing and did really good. He made par out of a bunker shot. WOW. Will be going back

For $10 green fees you get what you expect. A seniors and beginners course with low difficulty hazards and no water features. Except the occasional flooding of the 8th fairway. Nice driving range, with a decent chipping green, fairly nice putting green, and new practice bunkers are being built. Pace of play is slow and a lot of ornery golfers. Patience is a must out here and 18 can take anywhere from 2 hours to 4+ depending of who's in front of you.

The Saticoy Regional Golf Course of today is a really nice, friendly golf course, thanks to the general manager and her crew. It's a 9-hole that plays like an 18-hole with enough challenging holes to make it fun, the fairways and greens are well maintained, although the bunkers need work. Saticoy is also the perfect course to learn golf without feeling intimidated. They have two instructors, one who is a certified professional instructor (Bob Lewis), a nice driving range that stays lighted until 8:00 pm, practice green for putting and chipping, and a practice sand trap. Another great deal they have is the Player's Club. For $30 a month, you get free golf, $8 for a cart or $4 walking fee, a free beverage of your choice with your round, free range balls for practice, 2 free golf clinics a week, and big discounts on golf accessories in the pro shop. Plus, the certified instructor gives members 15% off his lessons. You won't find a better deal anywhere in Ventura County. I think, Saticoy is the perfect golf course for recreational golfers from beginners through advanced players.

The greens last time I was there which last Monday the green were in great shape. Better than any of the 18 hole public courses in the county. The tee boxes are still being worked on. I am totally pleased about what they have done and doing to the course. Making pot bunkers or just reconfiguring the bunkers. If it was an 18 hole course I would be there more. But I am there every Monday. Join the players club. Golf for $10 to walk, range balls and a 2nd 9 for I think for $5. The management there is doing a good job of up grading the place.
I think it's $ 10 for a large. they have a loyalty program for $30/month and it gives free range balls plus reduced greens fees.
