The Golden Gate Diner has been one of the only places in my memory that can always be relied upon for amazingly well prepared food at fair prices. The owner is extremely personable and friendly and on site at least 6 days a week. It's amazing that I have not been there more often but recently with many places having to change their menus because of supply chain disruptions somehow Gus has managed to keep it affordable and not sacrificing the quality whatsoever. You just can't lose the this place you need to try it out for yourself! PS- they serve breakfast all day! ❤️

I needed a nice diner to have coffee, breakfast, and kill some time while waiting for a friend who was having a same day surgery medical procedure nearby. I found the Golden Gate Diner to be perfect. Right on Union Blvd. with easy and ample parking, everything was reasonably priced, if not a bargain. I had blueberry pancakes, sausage and coffee. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Coffee was hot and free refills a plenty. My food was well prepared, with a generous amount of fresh blueberries in the pancakes and complimented by tasty sausages. Only thing that would have been better would be real maple syrup, but for a quick bite to eat, read up on news, have a conversation or just an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere, the Golden Gate Diner is a great place to stop.
