This is hands down one of the best shelters in Miami-Dade county especially for women. Ms.Constance really tried to help the women and children in this program. As someone who has been chronically homeless on and off for years I've been to multiple shelters and none can come close to genuine care for people or service's like The Lotus.This place is a jewel in the community and when you leave you'll miss it. They focus on the root causes of what contributes to homelessness,trauma etc. They care about the whole person's well-being you're not just another case number or body here. They care about the youth as well whether they are foster youth or kids of the women in the program. These ladies go above and beyond to not only provide a safe-haven for women and children but they also treat you as a human.they try to work on promoting the healing of past traumas and institutional mindsets that can hold many of us back from growth whether we realize it or not. They will fight for you and alongside of you as long as you do the work. I've seen the good these people have done for the community and women it serves. These are some great humans and I thank Ms.Constance &Ms.Anna ❤️

They do not greet you with a warm welcoming & they need to be way more cleaner knowing COVID is out here. I do not feel like they should have let me out of the program that quick if I had to take of care business mean getting me a job for me & my child, Well y’all need more educated people at the front desk instead of people who gossiping

Horrible..............okay for the first few weeks but no help at all when it comes to housing you have to be here for a few months in order to get help for housing.......... a lot of requirements to stay here depressing........... kids running around ..........no privacy .....No help if so they say it takes months in order to get housing if you have the patience to wait okay but it's a dragg........... employees do the bare minimum just do your part and leave ASAP............ If you're by yourself it's okay but with kids I wouldn't recommend I hate this place lotus house recieves a lot of donations but you don't see it

If you are familiar with the Lotus House in Miami I heard that was a helpful program. There is Miami Rescue Missions you can call the 211 homeless helpline, the call center in Broward you can call and ask where you can meet up with Task Force. They are the people that go to the different locations throughout the week. They usually have a few other people waiting in line to explain their individual situation and try to place individuals in the different programs pending availability. If you tell them you have never been in B.o.C, (Broward Outreach Center which are usually 60-90 day programs) then they may put you in right away. If they don't have any available beds in the 3 different locations that I know of, then Task Force will notate you name and information and will most likely suggest overnights at B.O.C in Hollywood, or Fort Lauderdale Savation Army. Bring your ID. They meet every day around 3 PM. 211 or homeless hotline will give you the daily locations. Good Luck
You can go to family and children's services or call the green shirts and they will take you to the hac then you get referred to lotus house from there good luck

If you need somewhere to stay go to Lotus house and speak with the lady at the front desk and she should be able to give you information on how to get in a shelter. You can also call the homeless helpline and they will help you find a bed in a shelter

To my knowledge they are open at 8am-9am in the morning. You have to go through the homeless trust nowadays to get in I think. But best advice is see if you can speak with someone who works there or Ms.Constance about what their rules are for intake
Yes but look online and call the Miami Homeless Helpline and enroll yourself and your children and they'll tell you if they have a bed for you or not. You have to call everyday Monday-Friday at 8am. It may take some time. Also, they aren't a dv shelter. If that's what you're looking for, again, call the Miami Homeless Helpline

The Lotus House in Miami Florida gets tgeir guests (homeless women) from referral of the Homeless Trust. You have to call the Homeless hotline. They will come out where ever you are to do verify homelessness.
This is a long weekend due to Monday being a federal holiday so your best bet is to go to mother Theresas tomorrow before 4 PM to have a place to sleep at. You will have to register with the homeless trust of Miami Dade on Tuesday and follow their instructions , make sure you tell them about your eviction
