These used to be The Best Tamales and now to My surprise, they are horrible! More Masa and less meat as well as flavor, more expensive as well, I don't know what Happened, the last 3 times it's been like this, I'm through I will not be back, I'm going to Sandra's Tamales in East LA, much better Tamales, Bigger and more flavorful and better priced as well ...

3 Years ago I would stop by for their Tamales because to me they were the BEST and with an authentic spiciness. (Like my Mothers) I finally was able to stop by since I now live in Costa Mesa, CA. To my surprise they're not as good as I remember and the Red Pork one's (which are my favorite) no longer had that spiciness and had too much, but too much Masa. I ordered 14 Red Pork, 2 Green Pork and 2 Sweet Pineapple/Raisin. The Green Pork were spicy and very good with the exception of the over abundance of Masa. My Husband and I Definitely did not like the Red Pork because they had no taste to them, they were very, very Bland and of course with the over abundance of Masa. I have not yet tried the Sweet ones. Needless to say, that they either changed their recipe or their Cooking Staff. They Dropped off to the Worst Tamales!!!! I am stuck with the remaining Dozen of Red, so I will get some Red Hot Chili and baste the Tamales before heating them up and keep some handy for when I finally decide to eat them. After spending $38.00 I am not about to throw them out! I just have to get brave enough to eat them without having to get sick to my stomach. I Definitely Do Not Recommend this establishment!

I drove from far get here at 5am and no one opened the door, I seen people inside cooking so I waited till 6am outside and no one came to the door to Atleast tell us what’s going on, maybe there behind on production or have some courtesy for their customers to say something to us, I was waiting with other people and cars until 6:20 I knocked and the lady just looked and turned the other way so we all left, there was even a trucker that said he always stops here but don’t know why they haven’t opened smh, poor customer service, so I ended up leaving and buying tamales from somewhere else

New recipe is terrible! They have way too much dry masa, very little meat and the flavor has changed too YUCK

We also tried. No luck. I spoke to one of the employees and she told us they were not accepting phone orders and the calls were interfering with the sales. I believe they open at 5 am, first come, first serve. Usually by 9 am their sold out. We arrived one time at 10, they were sold out.
