I believe they were a great department back in 2000 as I was going to be hired as a PSA Officer for the department, the people back then we're very warm, friendly, welcoming, the staff that interview me were great set of people indeed, just had one pRobles the forder police chief that did not like me at all,we both had a balling out as he wanted me to change shifts with his best of friends, just couldn't, because of my wife is needed to take her to work, but that was the past,if I didn't even meet the chief of police or worked under him at this security company I would of gotten the job indeed and might of made a difference there, but like I say the department was great when I was there. I knew some officers, not all. Thank you very much rob dunphy Queens NYC

Terrible, terrible place. Pray you aren't a victim in North Miami Beach. Evidence collection doesn't take 11 hours. These officers are worse than the 8 cowards of the Broward Sheriff department who didn't go in after the shooting at Parkland and offer assistance to dying victims.

I have known many police officers throughout my life, and I have to say, out of the five officers I interacted with, only ONE treated my fiancee and I like actual human beings. There is a line between doing your job to keep people safe, and being mean for no reason, and these officers certainly crossed this line. Threatening to kick people out of an event for asking questions? Cursing at drivers for driving too slowly when they're just trying to figure out where to go? Absolutley ridiculous. If they're trying to keep people from visiting their city then they're doing a fantastic job.

The racial profiling is so ridiculous it's amazing. I've lived in NMB area over 20+ years. Each encounter (2) had been horrible. The cops were rude, disrespectful, and lied. I work in law enforcement & they (NMB PD) give cops a bad name. They left a disgusting taste in my mouth. Need retraining when you're dealing with the community you patrol.

Your best bet is to call T.G.K. which is the main jail. Also, you could call a Bail Bonds who would check the jail system to verify if the one you're looking for is in fact in jail.
There is no curfew in place in the city. Curfews are only enacted under dire emergencies, and can only be implemented ordered by the City's Mayor, countywide by the County's Mayor, or statewide by the state's Governor. Curfews are only designed to be temporary and for the public's safety, generally during a disaster, where public movement may hamper emergency responders and rescue efforts.
