I thought it was a good DMV. The appointment system they use here means that you won’t wait for hours on end which is extremely nice because it can be very frustrating going to a DMV where you just show up and hope to get an appointment (looking at you Virginia). The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. They were helpful. A word of caution however, license plates and vehicle registration are not here, they are at the county treasurers office. This makes it less convenient than states where you can get everything done. That isn’t on this location however, that is on Nebraska and their policies which don’t have anything to do with the rank and file employees of this location. Again, it was a good DMV experience and I was in and out very quickly.

Nice and spacious new building. They were a bit busy when I arrived to renew my license, still I was in and done in 14 minutes. Judy was an awesome customer service representative. She was friendly and fun to deal with.

Went in at 1pm on a Tuesday. Place was a ghost town, which is excellent. The people that helped me were very patient and helpful. I had to call for a follow-up question 2 weeks later and they were extremely pleasant on the phone, as well. One of the best "government office" experiences ever.

May 4, 2021 I had low expectations of the service I would receive here. I was pleasantly surprised that it only took 30 minutes to get my driver's license renewed. This is a new facility. I did like the big screens that showed what number was being served and which counter to go to for service.

Written tests do not require an appointment, only the drive test.
If your learner's permit was issued in Nebraska and is valid or expired less than one year, you are eligible to renew in person. If learner's permit is from another state or has been expired for more than one year, you will need to present proof of identification (birth certificate, passport), 2 proofs of your address from different sources, and take the written test. Please call 402 471 3861 for a more personalized answer.
Can I renew my plates at this locstion
You don't need to bring anything for the test. If you haven't already done so, you will need a proof of citizenship/lawful status, two proofs of address, and a social security number to get a license.
You must bring your own vehicle which is properly insured and registered.
If you need to take a road test, please visit dmv.nebraska.gov/services. All other services are offered on a first come, first serve basis. If you have any other questions about our services, please call 402 471 3861.
Yes, a valid US Passport is an acceptable form of proof of citizenship. There may be more documents required for the issuance of a driver's license though, for a more personalized answer, please call 402 471 3861.
Yes

CDL skills testing is not available at this location. Our nearest offices that offer CDL skills testing are in Fremont and Bellevue.
You do not need an appointment to take your written test but you do need an appointment to take your driver's test they will not let you take your driver's test after your written test you must make an appointment for your driving test
You do not need one when licensing a new car
Just go in and tell them you meed to renew your license and go from there. Should only need to pay the fee.
No you'll have to go to 153rd and West center road
Couldn't tell you. I don't work there
No, anyone age 18 or older may apply for a license whenever they wish. Certain tests may be waived when you apply for a full Class O license depending on the length of time you've had the permit and the type of permit.
CDL testing is not offered at this location.
No you can't it's not a Treasurer's office.
The drive test will include the following maneuvers: starting and stopping, turning, lane changing, following traffic signs and rules, use of right of way, parking, and backing up.
If you surrender a valid out of state license when applying, written and drive tests will be waived.
No, this location is specific to Driver License, not vehicles.
My address is Sarpy and I got mine renewed in Douglas County on 170th St.
I am trying to find out.
You can change your address and renew online at https://www.nebraska.gov/dmv/dlr/index.cgi. To change your address, you will need to upload a picture of two different documents with your new address, such as bills, letters, or a paycheck. More information can be found on our website: https://dmv.nebraska.gov/dl/change-address
Yes you have to schedule appointment plus you have to take your test over sorry
Were do they take u for the driving part of the test
You would have to bring your social security card three pieces of recent mail and your birth certificate they are very candid of on knowing who you are and that you are no fake good luck
You do not have to send anything to the DMV because once you sell your vehicle all you have to do is sign the title over to the person you selling your car too and they will have to register it with the DMV
I didn't have to take the test because I renewed before it expired & had no tickets the last few years. However there were only a couple people there so I'm thinking 15 minutes that day. Thursday morning about the 8th- 10th is usually a good time to go. $30 & they send it within 10 days. Gives a tempmmpll
They usually give a temporary paper id/license to use while waiting for the new one.
It does not.
It's best to do it online, no wait time. However, if you have to come to DMV office, avoid Monday, and pick a snow or rainy day as fewer people take driving exam. I also had better luck coming early when dmv about to open.
Every exam office has several drive routes that may be taken. It's best to be prepared to demonstrate any techniques that would be used during normal driving.
This office only offers driver's licenses, permits, and state ID services. For license plates, you would need to contact your county treasurer. The Douglas County Treasurer's phone number is 402 444 7103.
Yes, as long as both documents show your name, resident address, a date within the last 90 days, and are from different sources, you can use them.
We have 2 locations that you can take the written test at in the Omaha metro area; This office located at 17007 W Burt St and our office in Bellevue at 4502 Maass Rd.
No, I don't believe so. Call this state facility on Tuesday though for confirmation. They are super helpful and will be able to answer any questions. The process has changed so much since my two oldest boys received their 1st permits & licenses. Good luck!
Yeah the deadline is in the door by 4.
An appointment is required for a drive test.
Off maple and 156th ,you can either use a drive through or queue,
This location is specifically for driver licensing services.
You can run a search on your driver license record to find out how many points are on your license at https://www.nebraska.gov/dmv/reinstatements/client.cgi
