No luck with lures. There was a group catching them left and right with worms right next to us. The staff was awesome.

Spent a few hours walkng around the lake and decompressing. Beautiful place to sit and watch the wild life. There was a bald eagle (?) Molting...sitting on the ice on the lake. Such a beautiful place just 10 minutes from Woodland Park, CO

Beautiful area. Nice dock to walk across to the other side of the lake.

$7 entrance fee Small lake with trail that goes around and another trail that's goes down the creek a bit. Scenic, clean, and nice views of Pikes Peak. Bathroom facilities on site. Signs that say no swimming allowed, and "dog nuisances must be removed", which I found funny.

I was till once a year.
It is a shallow dam made lake. You're not allowed to swim in the lake; fishing and paddle boating are allowed. The depth is only about 12 - 15 feet.
No beach, you can't swim there. They allow canoes, paddle boating, fishing and picnics and no charcoal or wood burning/grilling.
Yes you can. Stay at cllorado campground, its right next it!
It is rocky, but also is a no body contact lake.
Yes.. it is very crowded, however.
6am to 7pm
No camping at the lake. There is a campground close by that you can walk to the lake from.
Yes for weekends, check web for seasonality
Lake closed due to blue green algae bloom
Yes because it's a park everyone has to pay to get in
It costs 7 dollars a day to enter however when I was there last summer I got in free due to having stayed at a campground beside it. I recommend you check and see if your campground does the same. The name of the one I stayed it as Colorado Campground
I would say yes. They have a pavillion that looks like an old cabin there and I know you can reserve it for functions. I asked my wife to marry me on one of the docks out there.
No there is no overnight parking. It is only open from like 9am to 5pm. And I was there on April 29th. It may be that it is only open weekends til later in May?? The new entrance fee for one day is $7.00.
