The reviews and the description on this place is for camping but it's more of a local park. I arrived and set up camp and kind of felt uncomfortable camping there because it didn't really seem like a campsite. That being said there weren't explicit signs saying it was or wasn't okay to camp. I enjoyed sleeping there but was concerned by a dog that was off a leash and growled at me for a while. It would be nice if a local either clarified this as a camping site or not.

Excellent maintenance has kept this park in beautiful condition. I recently had to stay overnight in this park between the Lodgepole Complex and the Buffalo fire. The community was very supportive and helpful, including local Realtor Amber Yoakam. She fielded our phone call in the late hours of the night and helped guide my crew and I to this wonderful park. Kudos to the whole community for making us feel welcome.

No. Down the street from the park is the Junction City Saloon, which does have electrical hook-ups. This park is known as Junction City Memorial Park.
