I needed to get a covid test for an upcoming trip to visit my mom in Germany. I tested positive and had to re-schedule the trip. i recovered and needed additional documents to be able to travel. All the way though this very confusing process the people at Panhandle Health, from the receptionists to the nurses and doctor who cleared me for travel, everybody I interacted with was unbelievably nice and doing their best to make my visit possible. I am amazed at the customer service, the genuine caring, the follow through, the prompt callbacks whenever I had a question.. I could not be happier. Thank you so much!

Do NOT succumb to pressure from Anti maskers just when masks will be needed the most as we head indoors, back to school, church , heated areas. Stay true to what is best for ALL citizens and their health. Really respect the strength exhibited with this apolitical and health focused board.

I have sent a letter asking about my child's safety in regards to the mask mandate and have not heard back. I also sent another message as a follow up to see if I would be able to receive a reply and it has been a week with no reply . I have added in the letter that i sent them as well with no response. I JUST SENT THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE TO PANHANDLE! To whom it may concern, I understand with the new mandate your asking all persons over the age of 2 wear a mask. My child has been wearing the mask for the past few days and is struggling to breath with it on. The heat as a factor is not helping. My child follows the guidelines and schedules of there summer program which includes outdoor time. They are coming home struggling to breathe, headaches, and just irritated by them as any child would be. To what point do we put our child's safety before the mandate? The mandate is " allegedly " protecting us and others from COVID respiratory virus, which then in fact the masks are causing my child to have respiratory issues that were not there prior too. I'm having to choose my child's safety and being able to go to there summer program over , me having to possibly stay home and loose my job from not having a type of child care. I'm genuinely asking what I'm suppose to do. Do I quit my job so their health is not at risk from mask and then I can not financially support them? Or do I allow them to wear the mask still and hope they do not stop breathing or having any major health complications? Please assist me in my next course of action, due to your board apparently gets to choose my child's safety or financial well being is more important. Thank you for your time. Look forward to your response.
