I really don't think this place cares about security. There is no one available after office hours, no designated security person, and it has become a real safety hazard. We do not know who all lives here and who to let in and who not to. Its not our responsibility to determine that. For a building that charges SO MUCH you would think there would be a security personnel to manage that. Also for a "dog-friendly" building there is not much dog friendly about it. Walking pets at night is a real safety concern, when they could really alleviate this by having a doggy relief area on the third floor or in the garage. When I asked about any additional security, I was told that nothing would change. I love this building and my apartment and the residents have been great so far. But if you are concerned about safety I would look elsewhere.

UPDATE: The building has upgraded to a state of the art security system. If the packages don't fit into the amazon lockers, they are put into the office for safe-keeping. We've also gotten some wonderful new management who are responsive and attentive to the tenants needs. Bryant is one of the most wonderful people on the planet, and works hard to keep the building in great condition. I have lived here for two years and am going to be moving to relocate for a job. I am so sad I am leaving this building. It feels like family. Yes, living near the train is hard, but watching the sunsets are worth it. -Old Review Below- I live here. I've had $500 worth of packages stolen from inside the building in one month despite an entirely new surveillance system - which means either a tenant or manager is stealing the packages.

Avoid this place like the plague unless you want to have a change in management every few years and the subsequent lack of organization that follows. It’s too bad that they didn’t hold on to Yash, she was the best manager Aqua Via had in years; things finally started to shape up around here. So many of my neighbors are fed up with the disorganization and moving to some of the newer better apartments in JLS. Why waste money when the owners are don’t care about the property. Avoid this place it’s a sinking ship!!!!!

I had relocated from Washington, DC to the San Francisco Bay Area. During my apartment search, I obviously couldn't visit any properties so I solely relied on Google and Yelp reviews. Aqua Via checked all the boxes on my criteria list. I signed the lease and have had no regrets in the 4 years I've been here thus far. The property management team of Gladys, Matt and Bryant are very hard-working because they truly care about the property, especially the residents. They have become great friends. I would gladly recommend Aqua Via for anybody looking to relocate. Thanks.
