I’ve been coming here since I was a baby, and I absolutely love the familial environment! Everyone is always so happy, kind, and interested in what you’re doing. This building holds a lot of memories for me since childhood, and I always love to come back. Plus, there is an amazing diversity of cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicities. Thus, you get a wide range of ideas, ways of thinking, and perspectives. Also, with such a diverse group of people, you also have really diverse meetings, where you sometimes have Afro Cuban dancing, Japanese Taiko drumming, Buddhist rap, and even salsa dancing.

Best thing to do is call and usually they will have someone who can at least open it up for you at times if it is closed.
Hi Rachel, YES, you can visit the center Sunday anytime from 9am -3pm. There is a room always open for chanting whenever the center is open. If you want to know about specific activities please call the center 415.255.6007. I hope this is helpful. Patricia

The Center is usually open from 9 am to 9 pm most week days. Always a good idea to call first in case of closure or schedule change.

At this time, San Fernando Center does not have regular hours when we are open. The bookstore should be open during Kosen-Rufu gongyo.
So sorry this is happening! Better report it right away, it's against sgi code of conduct for leaders to borrow money from members. Even though it may be hard, it's up to each of us to protect each other & the sgi.
