Debbie, thank you for your question. Yes, you are correct that the policy of Laurel’s Loft is not to sell damaged items. In addition to our goal of raising critically needed funds for Laurel House, we are also committed to selling used, quality items at affordable prices. We want customers who shop with us to find items that are in excellent, used condition. For items that do get donated, but that are damaged or appear very worn, we do make every attempt to repair the item, if possible. For example, we have a volunteer who would take shirts with missing buttons and sew them back on. We also always have wipes or a Tide stick handy to try and remove stains. But, for those pieces that we are unable to save we do partner with a local organization to recycle those items. In return, we receive payment for our recycling to support the shop and our cause.

We sell new toys when we get them in, but other than that, we do not sell toys. Thank you for asking, Jenny
