Ricky is a true professional...He's patient, knows the systems, friendly and super helpful, navigating the passport process. If you're getting a passport or renewing one, run don't walk to Ricky...Ricky deserves an award for the "best of the bay area!"

The phone at the post office has a busy signal 24/7 so don't bother calling. Our mail carrier is unstable. Our street has experienced multiple mail thefts so 7 households collectively upgraded to locking boxes. This required a complete overhaul of the structure to hold the boxes which initially was not done to PO code. Instead of leaving a note to that affect, our mail carrier decided to place an immediate hold on the mail of 7 households....as if having thieves wasn't enough trouble. The structure was corrected in 24 hours and we're still chasing down the whereabouts of our mail.

I would give this Post Office a -10 if I could! I have a store in downtown Mill Valley. We have a different mail carrier every day, that is assuming they bother to come by at all, half of the carriers can't find it. If I have a package forget about it. They don't want the hassle of delivering packages downtown so they often don't get delivered for days. If you try and call the Post Office to complain they either don't answer the phone or take it off the hook. If you do manage to reach someone they just inform you that the carrier assigned to your root is on permanent disability so instead of assigning a new regular carrier they use subs every day. This has been going on for two years! Yesterday the mail carrier brought me my mail, he said had a package for me and would bring it in the next hour I closed 7 hours later and he never returned! Don't our tax dollars pay for this???

Unprofessional- I had to send a latter package to overseas using their Global Express Guaranteed system. I had a valid and accurate address for the recipient as well as their internationally accepted postal code. A middle aged woman worker says that their system does not recognize the postal code that I provided. Per instruction of this woman, I stepped out of the office and used my smartphone to confirm that the postal code was correct. I came back to wait in the line again, and then told her that the code was correct. She goes to the system again just to find their system does not recognize it. She says that FedEx (which carries those mails internationally) may have a different code system. Since I did not have an access to such, I asked her to look it up using the address I provided. The recipient address is not a “middle of nowhere” but in the heart of Tokyo. She says she cannot do such and gets personal by raising her voice… I mean, with a customer providing a valid and detailed address, the post-office worker cannot find a way to ship the item out, and just gets angry while I stay reasonable and calm… I gave up and went to an UPS office in the next building, where they were able to complete the shipment within a minute with no issues. I called up the manager of the post-office, who admits that I am not the only one who had such issues, and they have a problem in their computer system, which they plan to address in a near future. … I bet she must have known this. I just did not see anything professional in what she says or does.

You can order online at stamps.com or go into a post office to purchase and some of them have self-service machines so you can go after hours to avoid the long lines right now.
You should go to the post office and verify yourself as the owner of that mailbox. Then, request to add additional names to that account. Hope this helps!
Go online . Usps.com
I believe anytime before 5PM
If you're talking about vacation hold, there are 2 box on the form you fill out. 1 is for the carrier to deliver your mail the other is for you to pick it up at the post office. If you simply have not emptied your mail box, your mail will be held at the post office until you have. However,if you wait too long your mail will be returned to sender
Yes. If it's available just request it
