Went here with my wife, son-in-law and his mom. Had a fabulous time walking around the grounds exploring. Lots of interesting pieces of art in obvious places. However, the real surprises are off the beaten paths. Be prepared to wonder off the main pathways to find numerous pieces of sculpture hidden in secret gardens throughout the grounds. Even ran into several peacocks (real) on the grounds. Well worth the trip. Free and plentiful parking and reasonably priced for hours of fun. Need to reserve an admission time which helps keep down overcrowding.

I just love visiting here! So much to explore on the grounds. This could be a botanical garden, there are so many plants and trees along with all the sculptures. Currently, timed tickets are required for entry. Buying on the website was easy.

What a great place for a beautiful day. Very welcoming with multiple types of scenery and both indoor and outdoor exhibitions. From the lake side Sculptures and walk way yo the gardens filled with trees, flowers and hidden gems. A delight for the whole family with kids of all ages. Would come over again for sure!

Worth the trip! Located in Hamilton, NJ with plenty of parking and beautiful grounds to explore. Of course the main attraction is the various sculptures of various sizes. The grounds are mostly flat and easy to navigate. Several restaurants on site but two were completely closed when we visited and the other was closed for a wedding. A small cafe with ice cream, water, and limited snacks was open but they ran out of most choices by 4pm. The large sculptures are sturdy and mostly touchable so supervised children can enjoy the art without being constantly told not to touch. There are a few air-conditioned galleries with restrooms so if you visit on a hot day, find them for a break from the sun.

Yes, but it's the same price as if you simply bought an adult ticket online in advance of your visit ($10).
Yes. There is a shuttle for handicapped people. Walking the grounds might be hard for some people as the paths are not all perfect. But the main stuff is on good walkways. It is a huge place, it is a lot of walking. There are also indoor exhibits
Yes for 90% of the grounds
Restrooms are In the welcome center, exhibit halls and where food is served. So depending on where you are, it could be a bit of a walk.
There are some metal tables, but no shade. No picnic tables. The theater and some exhibitions are inside buildings. Restaurant has and indoor table area.
The park is open for private events such as weddings, corporate events and private events. More information is available here: http://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Plan-An-Event
No..she is not there, however a smaller size statue can be seen in the welcome center.
Tickets aren't generally needed in advance & online purchase is a few dollars less.
The mobile tours are ADA compliant and are included with admission. Hours are 11am to 3:30pm and are on a first come first served basis.
Yes they are open on labor day from 10am - 6pm
I recommend you could please contact the office for the specific information on your request.
I don't think it can just be for free. There might be discounts though.
Uber and independent taxi both good options short 2 miles from train to park. Have a great time.
I agree. Very popular. Get as early as poszible.
Besides the cost mentioned there are also discounts for veterans and students.
The parking lot is inside as what wynn said, so there is no need to leave the compound. So if you need to eat you can go back to your car and eat. I brought a small backpack with me and I put small snacks in there for when I got hungry while walking round I would have something to eat
No. Online advanced tickets only, as the signage outside states
Dine with us at one of our two cafes or our restaurant. No outside food or drink permitted.
I believe they start at the visitor center - the building where you park. It's also where you get tickets, etc. They also have all types of tours that are worth checking out.
No
only for food you buy inside the grounds. no outside food....none.
Taxi ride from Hamilton train station, about 5 minutes. Or NJ transit bus #608. Check for schedule updates. Hope it helps 😊. Enjoy!!!
Buying tickets online will ensure your admittance when you arrive. Usually on weekends and sometimes on weekdays we have reached capacity.
The park is open, with some closed exhibitions. The sculptors are beautiful both during winter and summer. If you can deal with the cold- its a great getaway on a winner day
Pretty sure there’s a cafe, just not sure the price. They do allow outside food+drink (At least I think so, I did it once).
Rat's is right next to thr "grounds". You can park in Rat's lot or the grounds lot
No holiday displays. Don't know if they do any. It is a unique and enjoyable place to visit. Highly recommend spending a day seeing all the various Sculptures and scenes. Food at Rats was very good but our waiter couldn't keep the orders and bills straight. He had to redo them twice. On the whole do go!
It's plenty of room. All one level. No worries
There are different memberships with different tiers, but they all include cost of admission with it (tickets are still needed to be registered in advance for everyone). The perks are listed on the website depending which membership you’re looking for, but there is no senior membership to my knowledge.
Go to their website and verify but they are usually open and you need to reserve your tickets and purchase online
If they are not at full capacity they will let you in and buy them inside. It just depends on the day..
No
The website makes you wait until it's two weeks out to buy but I would call and see if you can reseve before then since it's a large group and the time slots fill up pretty quick.
Call Grounds. In case of illness, they can be rescheduled for another date
You have to buy your tickets online for a timed entrance into the park although you can stay as long as you like. My tickets were a little cheaper bc they have a Sr. Citizen discount.
Most places look it up on their website
Could easily spend half a day there ...not including lunch. There is a lot to see and a lot to take in... especially on a beautiful day.
I did not see any policies that state specifically that you could not. I would suggest doing what Brendan did.
They open at 10 a. You can find their hours on the website https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/visit/hours-admission-directions/
Your best bet would be to try and purchase tickets online to see there are any available.
Hello, all of our membership options can be viewed here: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/membership/individual-family-membership/
Hello, our membership cards are digital now, here are some instructions. https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/membership/digital-membership-cards/
Yes, but from now until June 30th, try calling your local public library, to see if they offer passes for free.
Yes, I believe so. It's truly an amazing place!!
Most definitely and you will find novelty items along with a selection of gifts and souvenir memorabilia to mark your day
You don't have to buy them in advance, you can purchase them therw, but there is a discount if you buy them online.
You will still need to pay for admission (no free access). There is a ticket booth/entrance behind the restaurants.
Please see our "Access Mobile" tour and other accessibility info here: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/cms.cfm?category_id=202&content_id=301
People have got to ask actual questions, not something that is 1 search or call away.
Yes! Hours, including holidays are listed here: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Visit/Hours-Directions-and-Parking
No drones allowed. You may take personal photos and videos. Professional photography/videography requires advanced approval.
The current season's ticket prices are available on our website: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Visit/Buy-Tickets. You can book online tickets ahead of time - it's a must on the weekends!
Why would you go to a garden during a storm lol...if it happens while you are there shelter in the restaurant?
20.00 for adults. Don't know about kids
The time is now! I'm uploading pictures of it :) has been there this weekend, have seen 4 of them blooming
Preferable take a walk and guide help us starting from billing counter. If you consider visit n photos... It will take around 2hrs.
On their website
Highly recommended to make reservations.
Hello, we will be open Mondays (10am-6pm) starting Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Kathy: Grounds For Sculpture has ample, free parking on a first-come, first-serve basis. During peak traffic to the park, you may be directed to park in a satellite lot. Tram service is provided from that lot for your convenience. https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Visit/Hours-Directions-and-Parking
I don't know but we thought that would be a perfect spot.
There are discounted tickets for seniors as well as online ticket purchases. Current prices are here: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/cms.cfm?category_id=202&content_id=371
I looked up what "wheel throwing" is. Grounds For Sculpture is a location where you walk outside among LARGE art sculptures/statues. There is a building with some small artwork, but it's not the main part of the experience. They change the artwork in that building, so there could be times when they have pottery.
Our Access Mobile can have up to 5 passengers. We also have a cart that can hold 4 passengers and a visitor in a wheelchair. Here is the page on our website with further information: https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Visit/Accessibility-Services
I know they have carts that can take you around there
yes. infact the day i visited there was a wedding happening in one of their amazing location. i remember because we were not allowed to go to that area.
Call me
No, they are not allowed
They are as such open during winter also, however they are closed on certain holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. So you need to call them before. As such advanced ticket is recommended. You may not be able to enter if they already have maximum people in the park.
On one of our winter visits they had ice sculpture making event, and trees were decorated with lights.
I've seen service dogs on premises... And I've seen a few small dogs near the parking lot? But I don't believe pets are actually allowed in the park or galleries... I would contact them directly to ask though, as there might be special events that would allow them!
Adults $18 , seniors $15, kids $10
Yes, it is, mostly. There are very few steps in the park, but you can access most sculptures and exhibits
Yes
When you arive you are given a wrist band. Leave the band on and you can come and go.
There is a cart for tours for those who cannot do the walking..call grounds for sculpture about it
Probably won't see all of it in one visit. We're spent about 4h
May be google can help
Yes there is a small cafe called the peacock cafe
New Jersey public libraries often have free passes if you have a library card.
Summer ends at September 21
I would say 3 to 4 hours. But its very individual. It is a pleasant day out, nice gentle walk. If you run around tyring to see every piece it is a day ruined. Remax, enjoy, come back more than once!
Yes. Lots of trees everywhere, only a few places where you have to walk in the sun for more than a few seconds like when walking to some of the farther exhibits. Most of them are shaded and like others said there are many benches to rest at in the shade and indoor exhibits as well
I believe its 18 for adults 10 for children, 5 and under are free. However if you go after 5pm the rates are discounted
Yes we do! You can find them at guest services.
On the 4th of July Grounds for Sculpture will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. That day there will be a Bar-B-Q outside the Peacock Cafe and Rats Restaurant will be open regular hours.
Yes you can
Yep, beautiful place to do it. Assuming you don't mind some on lookers.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed. Service animals are welcome.
Agree with Bryan. Target for morning time and there will be no waiting. We went on Saturday arround 10:30 am and there was no queue.
My understanding is you are not allowed to bring in your own food and drink.
You need to get timed admission tickets. Get them online first.
I would still call and set that up, despite having the service available.
They are open Sundays. They do have senior discount
No need to print, if you can pull up the barcode in ticket to show it at ticket countet. In case u dont have access , u can save a offline version of the ticket
No bicycles, scooters, skates, hula hoops, etc. it is a sculpture garden, not an amusement park or playground.
On line is the best way to purchase tickets. Becoming a member allows access at any time.
They're open Tuesday through Sunday, 10am to 6pm, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Yes but it may be iced over
Yes, the park is open. Go to their website to purchase tickets and select a time slot for your arrival.
Both are fine, but you get coupons sometimes online...
the park is open all year round
Yes, they are motorized. I'm not sure if they are free to the visitor or if a cost is involved.
