Hold times on phone are 2 hours plus. Appointments 2 weeks out. Only place were customers service is allowed to be condescending to people. Also way over priced

Go to another DMV. This is the WORST DMV to go to since half the employees are so stupid they can’t tell their left from right. Trying to transfer over an out of state license? No chance, just move out of country which is easier. According to the website, you only need a couple documents but to this DMV, you need everything under the sun. And if you don’t have it, they’re rude to you and act like you wasted their time even tho the website does not say to bring other documents. Nancy Window 9 and her manager were especially rude and should never have jobs in the government or customer service.

Came in with my 75 year old mother to get a Colorado ID and Christine who works at station 12 was so nice and accommodating! my mother had a some issues with her paperwork and Christine worked through them all and we were able to get her ID. such a great experience - thank you

The process was incredibly slow, but the people were generally nice. There was an error on the ID though, if you have this issue turn around and go back immediately as they WILL NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE (DRIVER SERVICES). On the rare occasion an operator picked up, I had two hang up and the other two put me back into the loop on the endless queue, and I tried to get through for three days, multiple times and at least a hundred attempts, minimum. Save yourself the trouble and make an appointment to go back, because they can't be bothered to assist on the phone obviously. The appointment process was worthless, we still had to wait about 45 minutes past the appointment time. If you are too early, they don't get you in the queue, you just have to sit and wait until it is time to go in. The whole process took almost 4 hours to get a driver's permit (take the test before you get there/be sure to schedule a test, the online class is NOT THE TEST, so no clue why you have to take that in to show it at the DMV, total waste of time and money).

It says online that a license costs $26, but the renewal page doesn't mention a fee.
Yes, I got a copy here years ago.
First time is free if you don't pass the next are 11.50
You get a paper copy the day of an usually 10 days to get the actual one. Under 21 is $25 I think for a new one, and $12 to get it replaced or changed (might only be $12 for a new one anyways) and $25 for a new or replacement over 21. Last I knew, i.e. 2017
2 Proofs of your social, bring a bill with your new address on it. We did birth certificate, and/ or passport, w-2 and our apartment lease agreement (yes bring the whole thing). My fiance had to go 4 times before he had "everything"
Hm. I have no concluded answer. But I went in not long ago for an ID. I was going for my exam to set an appointment as I was there. There was a sign and as I saw the sign it said appointments only. So you might have to go online to see about it. Or you can call ahead for some other information
Hazmat certs in CO don't have their own book, all the questions are in the CDL Manual and you can download here....I tried the link and it auto-downloads with Adobe Reader app https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/sites/default/files/DR2251.pdf But if you do want to go in person, that location is THE ONLY ONE handling Drivers Services. And yes, you can get the manual from them. Cost? I don't know. Call the number and wait on the phone. They DO answer the phones.
It's better to make an appointment. When I went to 1881 Pierce the main office they wouldn't talk to me without one.. However the Westminister office allowed me to get my ID without one as a walk in. This stated I di make an appointment through the appointment hotline. They entered my appointment but it didn't show I was on the list the day of. The woman told me at the Westminister DMV that she would accept me regardless s I showed up early. Keep in mind that all DMV offices ARE NO THE SAME
The fee is $26 for a regular license or $79.58 for an SB251. Yes they are open but you must make an appointment online or via phone
Yes you can get a Colorado ID at this location the current price is 1150 if you can show proof of citizenship if you cannot it is $13 you will receive a temporary copy of your ID and your permanent coffee will be received in the mail within 10 business days if you have not received it within 30 days contact them and they will re-issue you a new one
Yes
No you need to go to a county office
Yes but not at 1881 pierce they don't do testing
By appointment only. No walk in services for the time being.
Around 15 for an ID, 35 for a DL. And you will need 2 utility or government mail, a ss card, a birth certificate, and a picture ID like a passport or cc with picture would cover most requirements.
I believe an appointment is still needed for in person. You can renew plates on the website.
Yes, depends on what? Also when you change your address, you have to go to the county DMV in which the county where the vehicle is to be registered.
Walk-ins and appointments
They should have sent you an e-mail, if not you would need to contact the DMV
Yes, you just need to make an appointment first
No they are not. They have signs out front that say 'by appointment only'
I'm not sure they do the written test there at the Lakewood d m v all I've ever gone in there for his licensing renewing my license doing car registration and those type of things I'd never seen a test area for that D M V
Yes still by appointment only
Yes
Maybe on your registration or you can call your car insurance provider?
Yes you can, you just need an appointment to do that they don't allow walk-ins.
Yes if you need to go in person. Some services can be done online. I just went through this last week. The link to make an appointment is buried on the site. A very nice man who was working the entrance at the Lakewood location helped me find the link on my phone. Hope this helps.
You have to make a appointment and go in
No. You need to make an appointment. For ID you need to see which DMV is servicing that . You can get your ID on line also
No. All is by appt only.
Depends on what type of transaction. I'd call 1st to make sure. Most places will only accept the real card instead of the paper.
Yes
They have one online and a booklet at most locations
Appointments only. I went for a temp tag so im not certain. Website says they do. I did see someone getting a photo taken!
Yes you can. They also let me go take a driving test and come back the same day without a second appointment.
Online Jefferson county dmv you might not have to go there
There are no walk-in appointments at all.... Before you can even get in to the building there will be a person asking for your appointment barcode. So go to the website and get an appointment first.
No, appointment only due to COVID.
Not sure I would call them first. I didn't have to call to long when I called to confirm my appt. but it is very easy to make an appt online and they list the services they provide there. I hope this helps.
Yes it changed Monday the 11/16. No one can do a walk in
Depends on the age, type, and appraised value.
The picture only.. you must do a driving test at a 3rd party place like a driving school. Also if it's a walk in. Go around 9/ 10 am cause they won't let you in first thing
www.mydmv.colorado.gov Register your account and you can manage almost anything, you can even send documents like 2290 forms and all of that
Yes But you will need birth cert 2 proofs puff address social security card
Till the temp tags expire. You will receive a card that your plates are ready. If not you need to get a new temp tag and find out the stage yours is in
Go on line mydmv.Colorado.gov go to driver I'd services make an appt. For written test
King Soopers has a kiosk to give your tags to you. Call your local King Soopers..easy way
Were you able to do your written test in Lakewood ?
At the different locations they are open from 7:30 to 11:30 Monday-Thursday. Try going early as I am sure there will be a line. Hope this helps.🙂(You can just walk in, no appointment)
Yes there is this is the site its at : https://m.driving-tests.org/dmv-handbook-drivers-manual/
I think hours are as normal but some locations depending on the county require appointments and some don't. Lakewood requires an appointment and you are usually in and out very close to your appointment time. The online appointment link is below. https://coloradodor.hosted.acftechnologies.com/WAColorado/ACFCustom/Service.aspx
Yes you can go to https://www.colorado.gov/dmv
Yes when I went up there but they do have a line you can stand in if you don't have a appointment but get there early
No but if you don't, you should get there early in the morning.
No, they do walk ins too
Think u got to make an appointment and fill out an application
Google dmv near you their webpage should have make an appointment option or a phone number
Where online did you go to set up the appointment?
They are only doing appointments so make an appointment asap you also have to go to the right location because they do limited services
Call and get a appointment. Ask what I.D.you need to bring.
Yes, appointment is necessary. They will turn you around if you don't have one.
It is different for every person. Call or check online to see.
If it expired or closed with no issue, you can reapply.
Of course. Ok it took me only 5 mins to finish with the process there.
Absolutely. With proof of insurance, you are good to renew. Be it expired by 2 days, 22 days or 222 days. Now, due to lack of renewal, they may request an inspection before renew is completed. But a 45 day temp tag will be issued while you are in this process.
I think I.D. card is the same $25. If you have a fine from a City or County, you go pay it there. If you have a fime with DMV, you can pay it there.
Yes
Go in and ask. A red license can be issued for multiple reasons but you have to meet the qualifications first and only the DMV can tell you what those are
An old I'd or Birth certificate. If you already have a CO I'd or license they can try to match your fingerprint.
Not from the State. You need to go to your County DMV or try myDMV.colorado.gov
The original or an official copy from the records department where the name was changed.
You will need your birth certificate your social security card and a first-class letter for proof of address
You can do either option. I've walked right in without an appointment two of the three times I've gone to this location
Yes, also check the website for the requirements for the transfer
Yes, you'll need an appointment for a written or driver's test to avoid any issues (there's a chance you could get in, but more likely than not you'd have to reschedule).
Yup.
New title applications will need to be completed at the county office in the county you reside.
Requirements are listed here: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/identification-card
Driver License: $28.00 Written test: $11.15 Practical test: $15.00 --------------------- Total: $54.15 Source: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/dmv-fees
You usually need two forms if ID; a passport, driver's license, or birth certificate, and also a piece of mail or a utility bill addressed to your place of residence.
Not open on the weekends
Free
Yes.
I think it's near $35.
Unfortunately, you can't. "Applicants turning 21 years of age must apply for their adult driver license, permit, or identification card on or after their 21st birthday by visiting an office" Source: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/renewals
Where is the Pierce street location?
$28. Source: https://www.colorado.gov/dmv/dmv-fees
You have to go to your County DMV office
Yes
Try to renew on line first. Otherwise, middle of the week, day and month.
Seems like it will be open. Source: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/closures-and-delays
Based on the following link it appears that you should make it out to "Department of Revenue": https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv/dmv-fees
Yes
Yes.
Nope. Walk-ins are welcome.
He needs to contact his personal tech. Then he /she will put it through the computer to dmv then about two days after it will be cleared through dmv. Once he stops paying it will go through computer vise versa and his licence will no longer be valid. It's 95$ each time you get reinstated.
Yes you can. Tests are not offered at the state office though.
You may he able to order a new one online
Go to their website it gives instructions on all the services each DMV provides and all the steps needed
I think its around 25 dollars
That sounds correct, you may want to call and see if it can be any mail or does it have to be a light bill, water etc..
Not sure. I have not done a test in18 years
If you are registering your personal vehicle and requesting regular green and white plates, you need to do that your county office. Same for renewals if you already have regular plates. If you want personalized plates or horseless carriage plates, these are done at 1881 Pierce St. After August 6, 2018, personalized plates will be issued at your county office.
Obviously
I was told i had an suspended licence and was not aware of this can you please help me ??
I am not sure. I always get there before they open. Never spend more than 15 -30 min that way.
Two forms of I'd and two letters with proof of address and a birth certificate
It's on the website don't be lazy
The DMV is awesome in Lakewood!
Piece of mail for proof of address. Birth certificate, social security card would help. Also time, but no more than an hour + or -, And money .
1 year
To get my emissions test, VIN verification, and register my vehicle with new plates was about $140 total. If your vehicle already is titled in Colorado you can subtract a little bit for the VIN verification
Then you aren't legally allowed to drive until you get your license
