My friends and I came on a Wednesday around 6pm and we could barely find any street parking. This is not the restaurant's fault or anything but it was terrible to have to walk 4 blocks in the 100 degrees heat. Anyways, once we walked in we felt better. The decor is very nice but we sat by the kitchen and it was hot. The AC didn't seem to cool the whole place down enough. As for the food and service, it was good but not amazing. I dont know what I was expecting but I left kind of disappointed for the price I paid for the whole meal. Although the cornbread was the best cornbread I've ever had, the chicken drumsticks and some of the other dishes just didn't wow me. The NY strip steak was just ok. Some parts were very fatty and chewy. Overall it was a good experience but not sure if I would want to come back, especially during the summer.

Fantastic first experience here. Great service, creative signature cocktails, and every dish we tried we were very happy with! Looking forward to coming back and exploring more of what the chef has to offer. Thank you Canon for not ruining a rare & elusive date night. 😉

Update: Went back with my husband. He LOVED everything he drank and ate here!! So very worth going here. The chicken plate was a whole chicken! Had enough of our two main dishes to bring home and enjoy the next day. See pictures I've added for more delicious foods we tried here. (Sorry they are a bit on the darker side. Ambient lighting Is a little darker where we were sitting.) Came here for the first time for my friend Keely's birthday. The best place I've eaten at in Sacramento! I'm truly amazed. There's something for everyone here! I'm on Restricted diet and their menu accommodated all my restrictions. I didn't get a sick tummy or anything after eating here. I'll be going back again. They have a Michelin star in 2019! Truly worth the money! A must go for sure.

My friends brought me here for a birthday dinner and it was fabulous! The staff was great and refreshed our main plates quite often, which was really nice. I really enjoyed all the food but the dumb sticks with yogurt and Brussel sprouts with pear were top notch. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the Treviso salad, it was super bitter. We sat out side and they had some heaters but they really just took the edge off the cold. Dress appropriately and don’t try to wear cute shoes like I did - you’ll have ice cubes for toes haha. Overall this was great experience!
