We couldn't find the one pizza place we were looking for but found Sweet Basil Pizza. Located in downtown Walla Walla. The restaurant offers indoor seating and sidewalk seating on the plaza. We ordered the 10" Beast(?) Meat pizza. The crust is hand tossed not too thick or too thin...but just right. This pizza because of the meat was a little more greasy that I care for. It had lots of meat and cheese. They don't skimp on the toppings. The 10" was perfect for just the 2 of us. You can purchase pizza by the slice as well. They also offer calazone, Stromboli and other items. I did see the sliced pizza and the calazone both looked delicious. We're looking forward to trying some of their other pizzas and menu items.

Great pizza. Crispy and the flavor was tasty. Really enjoyed and would recommend the ‘Sweet Basil’ pizza because the tomato sauce was very flavorful.

Heads up-Bad review coming: walked in to receive not one smile or "welcome to...". We thought, "ok at least their food is good (reviews said so)". Ordered a couple slices and a couple beers. We clearly we're annoying the older lady by asking her which slices/pizzas had come out most recent. We settled on pepperoni. Then to order our beers from the disgruntled boy with the scowl on his face. Not one word from him and barely a conversation from the pizza women but not to worry cuz the pizza is good, right? When we received our slices the disappointment continued. The slices we're greasy, cold and not fresh. After we were served the disgruntled, unsmiling beer server came out to delivery slices to another customer we heard him say with a big smile "for my favorite math teacher, anything for you". I guess if you're local and the staff knows you then you're gonna get good food and great service. I don't understand why we were treated this way when their business is supported by tourists. Won't be going back and recommend you don't either.

This place is simply the best kept secret in all of Washington. Amazing pizza. I ordered a calzone and it was perfect. I couldn’t eat it all in one setting so I took it , saved it, reheated in the morning and still perfect. I love the way they toss the dough for everyone to see! Beer selection is great too. The service was superb. I can’t wait to eat here again.
