Excellent veterinarians and staff. Great with my dog and very helpful

They may be good vets but they are the most human unfriendy medical practice of any sort I've ever seen.

Absolutely LOVE this place and will forever be grateful to Dr. Tracy and the staff here for loving my baby boy as much as they did. I started going to here back in 2010 when I got my very first kitten on my own, until literally the week before he passed away. Binx passed away back on 02/27/22 but was loved instantly from his first appointment here. We were always treated kindly, like we were family. Binx even got the opportunity to be showcased on their brochures and flyers at the office. Dr. Tracy would always run everything that was going on with Binx or that would have to happen by me to make sure I was comfortable every visit. When he started to get sick, she went out of her way to make sure I was able to contact her with any questions or concerns. I’m so glad Dr. Tracy was able to get one last visit with my boy. She and the staff were so thoughtful to send me a card and also advised me they would give me all of Binx’s records after his passing. I have been absolutely heartbroken since he has been gone, but I wanted to make sure I acknowledged and recognized wonderful staff that helped keep my boy healthy throughout the years. Thank you guys again for absolutely everything - you support, your kindness, all of it! I hope to one day return in the future, if and when we are ready to have a new fur baby.

River Road was my go to vet as of ten plus years ago. Having my cat there from 2weeks until he passed. But now with my two new pets and with new owners of the facility the care has changed. The staff patience and consideration is no longer as it was before. They do not put any consideration when dealing with anyone and seem too annoyed to answer questions. Everyone there lately has been on different pages, giving different information with each phone call. It’s honestly very sad to see how much has changed there. For some of us our pets truly mean everything and if the staff don’t understand that they shouldn’t be there.

They are more dog focused, but I only have cats, and they have been great with them. Prices are about average, 60ish for an exam, 25-30ish for a vaccine. They were PHENOMINAL with helping me nurse my kitten back from an animal attack. (She was really lucky to survive. ) You can tell that they really care about the animals.
You'd have to call them. It may vary depend'g upon what type/size animal you want to bring in. I want to say it's a flat rate for the ck-up. Then, if your pet's due for any tests/shots, they provide an itemized quote to review. You can decide if you want anything done, maybe a few or none at all at the visit. River Road Vet Hosp is a rare find. It was established by a couple, Dr.'s George & Tracie Fountas. They co-own & are the Veterinarians there, joined with an excellent staff. My dogs (over the yrs) hold a unique place in my heart. George & Tracie feel that way about every animal they see/treat. Costs for vet services isn't ever "cheap", however, most Vets tend to price gouge - George & Tracie do not. They are in it to provide proper care for animals.. they're not in it for the money. I've been w/them for 10+ yrs & those folks are amazing people over there. I won't go anywhere else unless they close up shop one day. Hope this helps!! 👍
