This new up and coming spot near the popular Mississippi Ave neighborhood is incredible. I was trying to go to Por Que No? down the road and ran into the predictably long line. I looked up other restaurants in the area and decided to give Tamale Boy a try. The food was out of this world delicious. The tamales and the burrito I tried were the best I've had in quite some time. Dare I say better than Por Que No? Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Amanda Kamm (Amazing)

The food is delicious and the staff are kind and friendly. I got the shrimp burrito with cream sauce. My mouth is in heaven every time. Their tamales are sooo good and the hot cheese dip is addictive! It is well worth driving out of your way to enjoy the food!

Hellohi

Came here the first the first time and was so happy by how good it was. So good that I came back a couple days later. However, this time my Brussel sprouts were burnt, the chips in my nachos were all crumbs and I found a metal wire in my tamale. Taste is still amazing so I’ll try one more time to see which time was a fluke. *(Update) Have come here several more times and the second time was definitely the fluke. Because every time I’ve been back since, it’s been amazing! Food is so good! Worth it

We came in during happy and Lauren was the bartender/server. We ordered off the happy hour menu. Great bargains, Fantastic Food. We had the queso fundido, the tostadas the nachos the guacamole and chips and the chicharrones.... All were great.. Nice friendly staff. Kip and I will definitely be coming back.. Thank you Lauren for you service, you were attentive even while you were very busy...
