What a spot. Good fun to be had here. As long as you can swim you must jump off these rocks to the pool below. But be sure to check that your landing in the water is safe.

Mccloud falls -lower middle upper - is about 30min off I-5 and south of Shasta. The total out and back hike to all 3 falls was ~4miles and took us about 3hours with kids. The lower falls are just at the trailhead. There was good water flow despite going in end june. On the way back we saw more people fishing as well as jumping off the rocks into the water.

Beautiful place! Three levels of falls... have been there numerous times and it never gets old! We will continue to keep going and enjoying the beauty these waterfalls display 💙

Nice smaller waterfall. The road into it closes during snow season. There is still parking available by the main road (89) and the walk in is about half a mile. When road is open, you are able to park practically next to the waterfall. There is a view area with benches. There is also a couple pit bathrooms. On the otherside is a campsite and two other waterfalls upriver.

I've seen people swimming at upper/lower/middle falls pool. I'm not an expert but just my observation. Please observe caution before going swimming at such places.
Yes, gate is still closed off at the road 89 (parking area available there), but there is still plenty of snow. Pit bathrooms ar campsite are also locked. The only ones open are by the lower falls. Was there 3 days ago.
Yes it is. But take a face mask.
