This is a lovely hike! Pretty wildflowers. Chipmunks at the top at Windy Peak. We saw a small snake along the trail. There's a pleasant little creek running along a good portion of the trail, very calming. There's a good amount of areas with tree cover and shade but also bits where you can get some sun as well.

Great place to start on the Mountain Lion Trail by bike or on foot! It's a climb, and you'll definitely get a workout, so come prepared for rock, dirt, weather, and water. There is a restroom at this location. Note, a state park pass is required for day use of this park.
