We love our town library. The kids area is amazing, and our kids can't wait to go back. The selection of books and media is better than I've seen in larger cities. The services offered are great for the community too. Now, there's a new, larger building; funded my the resident's donations, because we love it.

I don’t want the library more crowded, so I’m reluctant to give five stars, but I’ll be honest: This is a terrific library, and we are blessed with the library facilities, the staff, and all the online services. I’ve watched our library grow for over 50 years. I think our library and staff is the best you can find. I look forward to its reopening.

During phase 3, yes and no. It's not open for studying or looking at books on the shelves, those types of regular service. However, you can put books on hold through their online request system and pick books up for checkout. I've been using this service, it works out really well. I am looking for a book called sorry not sorry, by Sophie ranald. Apparently it is not in our system. Is there any way we could get it into our library ? Thanks

According to the online catalog, the library system does own a copy. Whether that is accurate or not, your next step should be to call the library and inquire about how to obtain the book. They may well recommend borrowing it through interlibrary loan.

Yes, from the library website: The Shrewsbury Public Library gladly accepts donations of: Books and other items in good condition that are clean and mold-free: including children’s books, CD’s, and DVDs, large print books, commercially recorded items: music on CDs, and video games. We cannot accept items which are unhealthy to handle, dirty, moldy, smelly, burnt, chewed, damp or missing covers. We also cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias and magazines. Donated items may be added to the library’s collection, given to the Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library for their book sale, or disposed of through book recycling programs. As the receiving institution, the Library cannot assign a value to the books you donate. Donors must determine the value of donated items. https://shrewsburyma.gov/728/Donations-of-Books-and-Other-Materials
