Walked in about half an hour to close knowing we wanted some guppies and couldn’t find any employees other than the cashier and dog trainer. We asked the cashier Dylan for some help in aquatics and he sent over the speaker that we needed some help. Obviously to us the dog trainer was busy and we saw no one else in the store. We waited a few minutes later and asked Dylan for help again. I told him I knew they were understaffed and I wasn’t sure anyone could actually help me. He said usually the don’t give live animals 20 minutes to close. I did not know this and told him I was sorry and that it was rough being short staffed. He sent over the speaker again for me and Matt the third and final employee showed up in the back for us. He was very polite and we apologized that we had come so late and didn’t realize they stopped giving animals before close and that we didn’t check their hours either. Matt was very helpful and made sure we didn’t need any information or further assistance with our tank. I’d like to say thank you to both Dylan and Matt for powering though on such a terrible situation with no help and a store full of customers right before close. I suggest a raise for the two of them. Thank you Matt and Dylan!

This visit to Petco was better then past visits. I was able to get what I needed and wasn't pressured into buying stuff I didn't need. Noticed alot of prices have increased but that's happening in every store. They did have Timothy Hay for my Guinea pigs while other stores haven't had it in weeks.

They are really strict i have asthma my husband has asmha along with lung issues we have a hard time breathing they basically tried to kick us out bc we could not wear the masks properly to breath. Until I spoke with a manager and expressed our health issues to them and allowed us to remove our masks as long as we attain 7ft of distance
They DO carry crickets both pre packaged and sized to order. I personally go with the ones in the bags taken when i ask as they haven't been kept there and the smell is less strong that way.
Yes they do
you can relinquish fish and they get adopted out into new homes but they won’t trade you fish for new ones.
