So my wife and I are Costco members, and recently moved very close to a BJ's in Conshohocken, PA. Since our Costco membership expires soon, and the fact that you can barely find an open parking spot at their locations we wanted to go check out BJ's today. Walked into the store, and asked the lady there that checks people's receipts as they exit where CS is as we would like to get a day pass in order to check everything out. She replied with she wasn't sure if they did that ( huh, we are the 1st people to ask this ) so she's calls someone on her thing, and a very nice guy comes over to say they don't do that. SMH...But, we are free to " look around " and if we buy anything there would just be a surcharge. Gee, thanks for the privilege to " walk " around. So, not off to the best start here BJ's as we aren't even members yet and are already frustrated. So we walked half of the store with a cart assuming we were going to buy stuff, but weren't impressed at all with products there, and also compared to prices elsewhere. So we just left the cart, and bounced. We were on the fence if BJ's could have replaced our Costco membership, but overall it wasn't a good experience. We now understand why the place was empty vs Costco's 24/7 crowds.

Although my overall experience is not bad, I have noticed some customers either with no masks or on their chin. I understand the place is large enough to stay away from these inconsiderate people, but I think they should be more strict …
