A.E did an awesome job on my 22 Jeep Grand Cherokee L . They did the paint protection film on the entire front and tinted my front to windows to match the back.( they even took off the dealer sticker for me) Kevin and Cara were great to deal with!!! Their communication was excellent. The car was even ready early. They also set me up with a loner(35.00 a day well worth it) I couldn't be more pleased with how my car came out. I highly recommend Automotive Elegance!!!!

I searched all over eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire for a shop that could apply vinyl paint protection film on my Mazda Miata after a minor accident that required the front bumper to be replaced. I found a couple of places, but Automotive Elegance was the closest to me. I visited their shop on a Friday and was impressed both with the work they did and the way I was treated. They did the job for me the following Tuesday. I picked up the car on Wednesday and the work was not only excellent, but the car was as clean as a whistle. I received excellent service and had excellent interaction with Kevin Patel, Director of Sales. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this vendor.

I had two cars partially wrapped with XPEL by Automotive Elegance at their shop in Andover. One in 2017 and another in 2021. The workmanship and sales experience were excellent on both occasions. They recently exceeded my expectations with a warranty issue and even provided a loaner car for the day. Kevin and Alexander were a pleasure to work with.

All I can say is WHOA! If there ever was a place where you could get the best service while receiving masterful results for your vehicle, this is it. I recently had my entire SUV painted then wrapped in paint protection film by Automotive Elegance. The. Entire. Vehicle. It's a high-end SUV. And I am meticulous customer when it comes to cosmetics, so it's tough to impress me and satisfy my nitpicks. Going into it a little nervous because this is my re-entry into the luxury category, I was concerned about the overall price I would pay and the quality of the workmanship I would receive. Longevity is a big deal for me on this vehicle because of the investment I've made. Jamie Perkins took amazing care of me on the front end. First, he recommended an amazing body shop to take care of the underlying cosmetic issues, and an amazing finish shop to prepare my vehicle for the wrap. Then he thoroughly talked me through the Automotive Elegance process. Providing me with options for my vehicle - partial wrap and full wrap - while giving me his expert advice and opinion of best practices and helpful hints about what to expect. He's been in the car business for over 30 years so he has an eye for this stuff like no other. My installed Allesandro did an AMAZING job installing the wrap! It's unfortunately rare when you can: a) trust your personal representative to know what you want and how to achieve it b) have the utmost perfectionist working on your vehicle c) know that if you ever have any issues whatsoever, the people and the company will do whatever they can for you But this is true with Jamie Perkins and Automotive Elegance!

Yes, the paint protection film is most definitely worth the investment! By installing it on your car, you are reducing the risk of any potential damage to your paint job from occurrences such as light scratches, rock chips, chemical stains, bug splatters, or hard water spots and swirl marks.
No. The ceramic coating should be applied by a professional. If it is not applied correctly, it will not last as long and may damage your paint.
The cost depends on the size and condition of your vehicle. Our professionals can give you a more accurate estimate after they have had a chance to inspect your vehicle.
Yes. Window tint blocks harmful UV rays from the sun. This can protect your skin and your car’s interior from damage caused by the sun’s rays.
Ceramic coatings are long-lasting and can withstand an automatic car wash, but you should avoid abrasive brushes and harmful chemicals. Both of these factors may harm your ceramic coating as well as the paint on your vehicle. To avoid harsh brushing, visit a touchless car wash.
Ceramic coating provides an extra layer of protection for your car's paint. It can help to protect against UV rays, bird droppings, tree sap, scratches, and other environmental hazards. It can also make it easier to clean your car and keep it looking shiny and new. However, it may not be necessary for everyone. So, before deciding to get a ceramic coating for your car, make sure to consider these factors: Type of car you have The climate you live in How often you wash your car Your budget. For the best results, don’t forget to talk with a ceramic coating expert.
When it comes to protecting your surfaces, you want a film that is durable and will last. A good protection film should be: Thick enough to withstand wear and tear Clear so it doesn't interfere with the look of your surfaces Easy to apply and remove Compatible with the surface it's being applied to A good protection film will also have a warranty so you can be confident in its performance. And it should be available in a variety of sizes to fit your needs. Make sure you do your research to find a protection film that meets all of your needs or talk to a paint protection film professional. And always follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation and care.
The cost of paint protection film depends on a number of factors, including the size of the vehicle, the type of PPF used, and the level of coverage desired. When considering how much to spend on paint protection, be sure to factor in the value of your car and the potential costs of repairs if your vehicle's paint job becomes damaged. Overall, the cost of paint protection will vary depending on your specific needs. However, it is an important investment that can help keep your car looking its best for years to come.
Depending on the quality of the tint and the amount of sunlight exposure, you may need to have your car tint redone every few years. If you live in an area with a lot of sun exposure, you may need to have your car tint redone more frequently. Talk to a professional about the best way to care for your car's tint for it to last longer.
Paint protection film can last for many years, provided it is properly cared for. However, the length of time it will last will depend on a number of factors, including the type of paint protection film used, the environment in which the vehicle is driven, and how well the paint protection film is maintained. Ultimately, paint protection films are designed to extend the life of your vehicle's paint job, and they should be considered an investment in your car's appearance. To get the most out of your paint protection film, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for care and maintenance.
Once applied as per instructions the Ceramic Coating usually hardens after about 24 hours, but it continues to cure and fully bonds onto the car's paint after about 1 week, but with some products, it may take even longer. It is important to note that Ceramic Coating will not cure at the same speed because of things like weather, temperature, humidity, etc. So your best bet is to read the manufacturer's instructions and perform as they say.
Some PPF products experience yellowing and peeling, but you can take steps to prevent them from happening. You also may experience issues if you attempt to install PPF on your own. The yellowing found on PPF comes from using inferior adhesives. Over time, the sun causes the adhesive to oxidize, which leads to the unpleasant yellowing effect. Avoid yellowing by opting for a high-quality PPF product. Peeling is another issue that plagues some paint protection film installations. Low-quality films struggle to stick to your car and will eventually begin peeling away from the paint. Air bubbles may also form underneath the layer of PPF. The best way to avoid any problems with your clear bra installation is to have it installed by a professional like Automotive Elegance. They'll do the job right, so you won't have to worry about peeling, air bubbles, and falling victim to poor-quality materials.
Paint protection film can be removed without damaging your car's paint job. The process is simple but fairly labor-intensive. For best results, call Automotive Elegance and have the work done professionally.
The good news is that it’s very easy. All you need to do is wash your car. Whether your car has Paint Protection or not you’ll want to minimize abrasion when you wash it and we’re always happy to talk you through the process. We even have a sheet of tips on the easy, economical way to keep your pride and joy clean and scratch-free and we give you a copy when we Protect your car.
No. We recommend you DON’T wax over the top of your Paint Protection. The reason is that when wax gets warm it gets soft and sticky and can trap fine dust and grit. Added to this it breaks down when exposed to Ultra Violet light and shrinks as the solvent evaporates out of it. All this dulls the shine and eventually leaves a layer of rubbish on top of your paint. You don’t need (or want) that. As a hard sealant Paint Protection can’t trap dust and grit… unless you put wax on top of it. Really, one of the best reasons to apply good Paint Protection to your car is so you can escape the disadvantages of wax.
Yes, but you really have to look for it! There is a fine line where the film ends, which is visible where you are looking, but most people don’t notice it.
No. Premium Shield PPF is transparent to UV and the paint under the film ages at the same rate as the unprotected paint.
By applying PPF to the front of your vehicle, you prevent stone chips to the paint and the expensive headlight lenses. It helps your vehicle retain its value when the time comes to sell or trade-in.
Please check with your body shop who are carrying out the refinish and see what they recommend. The time will vary depending on the paint system the body shop has used. In any case, the time that they recommend you should wait to wax the paint, is the same time you will need to wait to install paint protection film.
Yes, thanks to our specific preparation method our paint protection films can be safely removed if needed without leaving any glue residue or damage to the surface, (providing the paint is factory original and / or has been re finished with a factory approved bodyshop).
Our packages were designed based on how you care for the vehicle and length of ownership. Ceramic coatings are made of silicon dioxide. The higher the silica content, the glossier the finish and the longer it lasts.
The amount of time varies, depending on your type of vehicle. A complete car can take 1 to 2 days. If old aftermarket film has to be removed, that can add anywhere from an extra day or two.
Unlike window film, factory tint is a pigment within the glass that’s installed during the manufacturing process. There is no way to remove the tint from the glass. The only alternative to getting the same benefits of window film is to install window film over the factory tint.
Window tinting typically refers to a process in which a transparent sheet of film is applied to the inside of a vehicle's windows. The main purpose of this process is to reduce the amount of heat and radiation from the sun that reaches the interior of the vehicle, but many folks just tint their windows because they think it looks cool. The thickness of the film and the material from which it is made can vary, and different states have different restrictions regarding the darkness of the film that may be used.
Yes. Our PPF comes with a 7-10 years manufacturer's warranty that covers cracking, yellowing and peeling. It does not cover wear and tear from daily usage.
In most cases, we recommend applying PPF over panels that are defect-free and you get the best protection money can buy on day one. There is nothing wrong with applying PPF over paint defects, however, you will see slight air pockets around the defects (this includes areas with touch-up paint applied) and PPF will magnify the imperfections.
In most cases, 9 out of 10 new vehicles can benefit from some sort of Polishing or Paint Correction. Prepping the vehicle before applying Paint Protection Film will greatly enhance the gloss and film will lock it in for years to come. It is also going to determine the quality of the results.
Innovative technology in the paint protection film causes minor scratches to disappear, which keeps the paint protection film and car’s finish looking new.
Absolutely you can ceramic coat your paint protection film. A coating like XPEL Fusion Plus is specifically designed to work with both XPEL Paint Protection Film and your vehicle’s paint, increasing color depth while its hydrophobic properties make cleaning your vehicle a breeze! This makes your maintenance, washing, and care much easier. We highly recommend adding a coating on top of your film at the time of installation at your benefit.
While you can wax the film, be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and avoid waxes that contain dyes. For best results, we recommend using our XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant or XPEL Ceramic Boost. This product has been specially formulated for use with polyurethane paint protection films to provide the maximum protection and gloss, while containing no ingredients that would cause discoloration over time.
The paint needs time to cure fully before the application of Paint Protection, making it impractical to do on the production line. The application process is best performed manually, which is too slow and too labour intensive for the production line. Their Car Dealers already offer Paint Protection
Yes. We do lots of them. You probably know that if you’re painting something, whether it’s a ceiling or a car, the quality of the finish is absolutely dependent on the preparation of the surface. That’s true with Paint Protection as well. It’s clear. You can’t hide anything under it. That means there’s usually a lot more preparation work involved getting the paint perfectly clean, repairing stone chips and expertly polishing any swirls and scratches. Many of our customers have said we’ve made their cars look better than they did when brand new
While paint protection film (PPF) preserves your vehicle’s paint job by reducing the risk of damaging chips and scratches from rocks, road debris, and swirl marks, a ceramic coating creates a slick, glossy layer of protection over the finish to shield it from corrosive chemical and environmental contaminants. It may be easier to think of the XPEL Paint Protection Film as the physical barrier protecting your vehicle while ceramic coatings are the invisible barrier keeping your vehicle easier to clean and giving it that unbeatable shine!
XPEL Fusion Plus with proper care and maintenance, this ceramic coating will keep your car looking its finest for years! XPEL Fusion ceramic coating is backed by a 4-year warranty. For full detail, reference: https://www.xpel.com/warranty-information
Not at all! PPF should only need to be replaced when damaged significantly say a fender bender or after significant mileage. You should still maintain PPF as you would a vehicles paint but just know that your vehicles paint finish is safe under the PPF :) If you have damage in a small enough section, we can always review the damage here at Automotive Elegance to make recommendations on repairs to the PPF before replacing the PPF on the entire panel!
PPF is designed to protect your vehicles paint from rock chips, nicks and scratches. Another view to keep in mind, two-fold, is that PPF is taking the beating that your vehicles paint finish would have seen. After say 10k miles, its normal for PPF to not be perfect! All these imperfection and nicks would be in your vehicles paint rather than this replaceable PPF and is keeping your paint finish protected and intended. PPF is an art form. While we do use a state-of-the-art plotter with your vehicles patterns, this is hand installed. Think of the PPF install just as Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. From images and even in person a few feet away, perfection! When you get within inches, you may see what you believe to be imperfection, but this is simply artwork that is PPF. We go the extra mile at Automotive Elegance to ensure your PPF install meets and exceeds XPELs install guideline to ensure your investment is of the highest quality in the industry!
Glad you asked! PPF Can surely be installed on a vehicle with a few miles on it. While there is no mileage cutoff to when you can have PPF installed, keep in mind that PPF is designed to preserve your vehicles paint finish in its current condition! PPF will not hide, mask, or fix any paint defects but rather preserve them. The question you need to ask yourself is… do you want to preserve your vehicles current paint finish as it currently sits? Chances are you’re going to say yes! Come by Automotive Elegance for our opinion!
With modern PPF technology that XPEL offers, PPF is perfectly safe for OEM paint finishes. If your vehicle has been painted, you may want to ensure your vehicles paint was painted to meet or exceed OEM paint standards. This is to ensure the paint adhesion strength to the panel or substrate is adequate for PPF.
Great question we see often! PPF Is designed to protect your vehicles paint finish from rock chips, nicks, scratches. While it may protect the vehicles paint during a minor scrape from shipping cart or when another vehicle trades paint, you may need to have some PDR work completed. PPF is not designed to stop dents or protect panels during an accident.
Absolutely! PPF is intended to protect the vehicles paint finish so any painted and clear coated surface we can surely protect! Whether you are considering protecting your 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo S or your 2022 Toyota Camry, we highly recommend protecting your vehicles paint finish as this is protecting your investment and when you sell or trade in your vehicle, you will see higher resale values as your vehicles paint finish has been preserved! Now you may choose different levels of protection between these two vehicles which is completely understandable and highly recommended!
We wrap all edges possible. What does this mean? Glad you were thinking of this question! We wrap all edges possible and what this means is that if we have the ability to properly install PPF around edges we certainly will, that’s what separates Automotive Elegance from many installers across the nation! Not all edges can be wrapped however and that is not the goal of PPF. One thing to always remember is PPF is designed not to beautify your vehicles finish but PROTECT your paint! PPF is protecting your new investment from depreciation! Many areas do not offer enough space, access or have acceptable surfaces to wrap edges. most commonly, where the front fender meets the front bumper. Typically, this area is not wrapped for the sole reason that this panel gap is smaller than the thickness of 1 layer of the film, let alone 2 layers. (1 Layer from wrapping the front bumper and the second layer from wrapping the front fender.)
It’s highly recommended that you start with protecting the most exposed areas of your vehicle! The most exposed areas being the front such as the front bumper, the hood, headlights, fenders and moving backwards! Think about this… you are more likely to get a rock chip on the front bumper than you are say the trunk or roof, heck even your door! Chances are by the time you get a rock chip in any of these areas, you will have 20+ on your front bumper. Our packages at Automotive Elegance are designed specifically with this in mind. Protecting the front of the vehicle working to the back!
Yes, pressure washers can be used on XPEL paint protection films, provided the film has completely dried after installation (Refer to your Installer) and provided the high-pressure water is not pointed directly at the edges of the film.
XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS Series Films are warrantied for 10 years. This warranty covers: yellowing, staining, delaminating, cracking, peeling, bubbling, and more. More information on the warranty can be found on XPEL Warranty Page: https://www.xpel.com/warranty-information
No special maintenance is required for XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS. However, the film will last longer and will be easier to clean if treated twice a year with XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant. Refer: https://www.xpel.com/faq
Yes, Coatings can be applied to the films. Adding a coating does not stop the film from self-healing. Coatings can add a protective layer over the film, which depending on the coating can provide different properties (Please contact your installer or coating company for more information). That additional coating layer, depending on the coating applied, may or may not self-heal. Once the coating wears down and deteriorates, the self-healing qualities of XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH will remain. We recommend XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating. Our ceramic was specifically formulated for your vehicles paint and XPEL Paint protection film. Refer: https://www.xpel.com/faq
While the edge of the film can be seen from certain angles, people generally do not notice it unless they are looking for it. However, if the car is dirty and dust and dirt can collect along the edge of the film, it will be more noticeable. Once the car is cleaned, it will be once again difficult to detect unless looking for it. Refer: https://www.xpel.com/faq
It is highly unlikely for paint protection film to harm OEM paint. Paint systems used on modern assembly lines today produce a minimum bond strength of 16 MPa and maximum of 25 MPa between the panel and the paint depending on color, iridescence and the system used. Our film’s bond to the painted surface at normal state (immediately following installation) is .0753 MPa. Even after years of heat and sun, the bond between the film and the paint increases to only 0.17 MPa. What that means is in the absolute worst case scenario, the bond of factory paint to the panel is over 94 times stronger than the bond of our film to the paint. In the best case, the paint is 332 times stronger. That being said, it is still recommended to have a professional remove the film in accordance with our published guidelines. Refer: https://www.xpel.com/faq
No, XPEL Paint protection film cannot be installed on your windshield. Due to the impact absorbency of paint protection film, the refractive index of the film is too different from that of the windshield. Because of this difference, putting the two together causes a distortion when looking through the glass that would be unacceptable to the vehicle’s occupants. Refer: https://www.xpel.com/faq
